Giving you the anal treatment which is what you seem to prefer.

Ok, enough for the day.

Read in a sig : "Light travels faster than sound. Some people appear bright until you hear them speak."

Indeed.

Though in all seriousness, I will say that I don't believe this idea is necessarily the "best" way to clean up c0r, but realistically the c0r is it's own society with it's own set of norms and values that when violated, must be reinforced with punishment.

In the real world, murderers are put in prision and removed from society. Just think of the people I'm referring to as the "murderers" of c0r.

Do we need to have a COR trial and a COR judge & jury?

Man, you're an idiot. Those posts are taken completely out of context. So really now, fuck off.

Nah, mods just gotta make decisions and stick to them. This is a probably the biggest step in affecting change here.

As long as the moderators stick to their guns, it won't be a problem. I know c0r has always been a place where we had this laid back approach to everything, but there comes a point when the mods have to realize that even though they may be making an unpopular decision, it's for the best that they stick to it.

Like it or not, moderators a must hold themselves to a higher standard than the rest of us - Which is for the most part what happens on here. Unfortunately, every once in a while when a mod wants to take part in some c0r shenanigans (i.e. the name change situation from last week) it only encourages the kind of idiocy that was seen over the weekend on here.

I'd like to be excluded from any and all jury duty, on grounds that I am a veteran of foreign wars. Most notably the campaign against Marak5 in the Chicago forum, and clowning of Elevation in Miami WMC section.

I believe you are correct, however, we are not a civilized society. I'd say the c0r is more of a pack type social organization with many challengers to the authority of those seated closer to the top of said pack. Generally, those challenges are dealt with swiftly with sharp tounge and a swift cuff to the back of the head via witty retorts. Often the challenger is quickly religated to their place as all the others see them for the fool they are. It is through this mechanism that order is maintained. The only thing lacking is the ability to kill those that fail to learn their lesson and accept their place once their challenge is rebuffed... I suppose this is where the permanent ban would come into play.

Exactly.

And I don't think permanent bans should be a matter of public debate, they should be put in place and enforced by the moderators with absolutely no input from the peanut gallery.

Quite frankly, Coup, Jason, and Myra all know exactly what is and is not tolerable for c0r, they're all smart and fair enough to keep things from getting out of hand if we did try something along these lines.

Okay let's start a poll.

Did Jamie tell you "The Bear Joke" and did you laugh?

Yes.

No.

Quite frankly, I only have confidence in one of those three. Not that I don't appreciate their efforts, however, only one has consistantly shown good judgment IMO.

No contest, I was in a marijuana and Vodka induced haze, and the joke was not properly delivered.

I understand where you're coming from, but I think knowing what's right and doing what's right are two totally different things.

In my opinion, all three know how to handle things even if in the past they've proven to have made some exceptionally poor decisions.
