You're right, I meant F.E.A.R.

Loads. Too many. I give up.

EDIT: Although anyone who claims that male vocals hardly ever work in EDM seriously need to listen to more stuff.

Male vocals hardly ever work in EDM. Been into dance music since 1993, got over 10,000 vinyls and around 3000 albums. Should I listen to more?????????????????????

Exceptions are Hybrids new album 'I choose noise', some tracks by BT, Bossanova - Stonecold, Tiesto vs DMB - The space between, Morgan King - I'm Free EDIT - Jaimy vs Kenny D - Caught me running

My vote though goes to Blackwatch vs Quivver - Loveless.

I concur.

Velvet Morning by Kyau & Albert isn't bad either.

Are you telling me that they don't work when Underworld, Fluke, Faithless, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Stereo MC's, Fatboy Slim, Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Leftfield, Pendulum, Massive Attack, New Order, The Shamen and The KLF (to name some blazingly obvious examples) have used them?

Well, Massive Attack are trip-hop (and hence no EDM, it doesn't matter that you find them in the "Dance" section in HMV...they are NOT edm, well i can't dance to them no matter how hard i try) and ofcourse...New Order are NO EDM , but a great synth-pop/new-wave band from the 80s which formed when the even greater Joy Division broke. They have the classic 80s synth-pop vocals, hence they work quite well. It's a crime to put New Order next to BLOODY prodigy , Shamen (Shame!), Fatboy Slim and Faithless...lol.

this is exactly why i hate the term EDM.

Trip Hop is a genre of Electronica.

Oh do fuck off. New Order have been remixed to utter death- they brought out an excellent LP of their remixes from the early 90s. I notice that Bernard Summer's vocals work just as well when they've been remixed as in their original form. And if you're going to deny Blue Monday a place as a crucial piece of dance music history... I'm baffled. The best selling 12" in history and utterly played out in clubs from the 80s to today.

Massive Attack are more downtempo, but it's not impossible to dance to trip-hop.

But mainly, I don't care if you like New Order more than Faithless- keep your fucking opinion out of objective discussion. Frankly I think Faithless are better than New Order, especially on the lyrical and production levels. And if you're going to ignore The Shamen's accomplishments before Mr C came in... more's the folly. But what you deem to be good or not doesn't change that they are all major names who've used male vocals well in dance music.

I hate "electronica" just as much. Massive Attack were around long before American journalists coined that buzzword. Trip-hop is a British sub-genre of hip-hop.
