i dont know about they rest of you all, but i have noticed that trance is trying to be pushed into the use mainstream. ive seen commercials for mixes like trance nation usa or ministry of sound series on mtv at late nite. but i dont think it will become commercial because the pop audience of the us doesnt have the paitence to listen to a song with little or no vocals. o well their loss our gain
we are the lucky ones..........
that's all I have to say

I've had ppl tell me who I can tell two trance songs apart because aren't they the same thing ? yeah...right. Also I've had ppl tell me that Trance is shit cause most songs are repetitive and don't involve lyrics to which I answer, if u want fuckin lyrics go listen to cheezy backstreet boys songs...I don't care if ppl don't like Trance music, i'd rather it remain an underground community, at least that way the ppl involved in the scene will all be real unlike all the fake ass gangsta that u see in the rap and hip hop scene. N E way, that's my piece....I'm out.
trance became semi commercial in 99. maybe garage and hard house saved it by pushing i t to the backs of the shelves because it may of become commercial takc and not thew high quality musical genre it is today, who knows. These days the only time i here proper trance is after 11 oclock on rapture TV, and thats usualyl a lvie set from slinky or godskitchen, to which i cant argue!
and the repetetive, icouldmakethatin3minutes and theresnowords reasomns are the ones that piss me off most grrrrrrrrr!
trance stereotypes
I also have several friends that think trance is repetitive. But they listen to shit music like metal and hihop!
One friend to me who listens to Slipknot says that its the track that gets popular and not the person behind it!
Another one who listen to hiphop says how i can listen to the shit! its all the same. How can you tell a trance song is good. It sounds the same.
fuck them!!
/toka
its been a couple of times some-1 not very familiar with trance rides on my car and start arguing why no one sings on those "songs" lol hehe this been a couple of times for me with different people...
I was at at some shit club in Toronto, on a date........and they were playin salsa........sounded more repetitive to me than any electronic song I've ever heard.......
anywayz........I too would rather trance stay underground ...........it's better that way 100%.
peace
The best line i heard was - "So, after Reggae is dead, this is what y'all hippies listen to these days, eh?"
First of all, REGGAE IS NOT DEAD! Second of all, I am not a freakin' hippie! Third of all, ok, there's no third of all.
The 2nd runner-up line - "Dang, now I know why you can drive your car for hours, you are like, hypnotized, by this shit."
Hypnotized is right, mother******. hehehe.
