The Wii IMO will be a great success too IMO b/c of the old school aspect. I have a lot of friends who don't like current video games but love old school games, thus would buy a Wii. And it's WAY more affordable than PS3. Not to mention, video games aren't that high on my list of things I want...so I can wait it out 'til it gets a bit cheaper and buy it then.

i have had a ps2 for like 5 years and never had any problems with it at all, so i am happy with the product and would love to buy the PS3... i had the xbox360 for like a week and ahlaf and then returned it. And the 360 is nothing mind blowing, i mean its nice, but there just arent any games taht i realy want. And im realy not a fan on the xbox controlers, they hurt my hands after long game play and they are a little of the heavy side cuz of the batteries.

and the Wii is a consol for lil kids so thats out of the question

ill wait till summer time and get a ps3

I have to admit...gaming in HD is fucking awesome. I got a nice cheap Westinghouse HDTV for my dorm room and university and its awesome!

And yeah...GTA4 is definitely going to be one sweet game! Hopefully they listened to the gamers for new ideas!

I would agree that Nintendo focuses on the younger crowd...but honestly, i don't mind their games. Pokemon FTW! haha

I feel your pain there.

It is starting to look like both systems will be a success. Hate the PS3 as much as you want, it will still sell out on the first shipment. And the second...

Granted the Wii has a great launch lineup, but we'll see how it will go when more popular titles start comming out for the PS3.

GTA is confirmed to be released on 360 and PS3 at the same time. Sony does not have time exclusivity anymore!

GTA will not be feasible on the Wii (it might be possible, but will not compare anywhere near the level of sophistication as on the 360 or PS3).

That wasn't a problem when it came out for PS2 and Xbox, plus the Wii is more powerful than those 2 so a GTA game is totally possible on the Wii. The only problem is Nintendo and Rockstar (the company who makes GTA).

I dunno how much storage it has but it's like a regular sized DVD disc so I'm guessing around 4 gigs or more.

So they finally switched to a normal media?

That's all the 360 uses...DVD9s...so they can get like 8.5GB

Yea I just checked IGN's launch guide (http://wii.ign.com/launchguide/index.html). The storage is about 5 gigs.

My Friends been in contact with quite a few stores and stuff...but just incase you didn't know...Supply has been Cut significantly. In the US its been cut by 40%-60% and don't know how much in Canada...

Therefore...get there early! Oh, and if you get one..your golden!
