The first time I had ever gone to see Tiesto in 2002 I believe, I got him to sign my pants. Up one leg in black and up the other in white. I didn't have anythign else for him to sign. To this day I have never worn those pants again. (Good thing I had two pairs)

thats my biggest pet pev, to many DJs in the damn booth...

Most ridiculous thing I've seen someone get autographed was a worn out raggedy black leather sneaker at Nu-NRG's debut in NY. Who hands their nasty shoe right off their foot? I mean, WTF x 1,000,000,000!

THE most annoying thing that I see at every big party are the 'super fans', or so they think (and there are some TA's very guilty of this). I'm talking about the ones that stand near the booth and spend the WHOLE NIGHT screaming the DJ's name, over and over, just to get their attention (for who knows what purpose). Even after they've acknowledged at them 1/2 a dozen times already, they keep screaming their name, trying to get their attention.

FFS, shut the f-up already & just enjoy the show. He's here to play for thousands of people, not spend the night looking at you. Besides, you look like a PSYCHO with no life doing that, and that's EXACTLY what the DJ thinks of you, I guarantee you that.

Best way to earn a DJ's respect is give them their space, and treat them like a human, not a god. Keep your cool, FFS.

MY BIGGEST TURN OFF! Just disgusts me to hear this when it happens!

Last time I actively recall hearing it happen where I was so annoyed by it was at Armin van Buuren at Dragon Fly... before the other DJ was off, they just started shouting Armins name! WTF... Ugh, its really hard to tolerate... find it so rude and am amazed that others (who do it) dont see it in this light!

LOL! Preach had to write out his email on a receipt I found in my purse from a shoe store. And I didn't have a pen (nor did he), so he wrote it with my eyeliner!

That was pretty bad.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand sketch.

1. Get right up on stage with DJ
2. Dance beside dj and try to catch his eye by yelling at him
3. When dj basically tells you to beat it...
4. Stand in front of him with your back to crowd
5. Proceed to block EVERYONES view of dj while you dance privately for him even though he still wants you to beat it
6. Put one hand on hip and continue said dance for a half hour

The best thing that I think "superfans" or any fan can do at a show is share their excitement with those around them. I have a little experience in the superfan department..

Think what a Ferry show would be without Lisa, an Armin show without Nada, Max without Jon or the The Dish without Slinger..

Show your appreciation for the impression they have made in your life. Sincerty will shine through and that is the best way to leave your mark..

All other forms of distraction simply play you out as the fool. When they are spinning the spotlight is theirs.. not for you to invade. Let them do what they do.. and what they did to make you like them to begin with..

you nailed it right there Shelley.

My friends in Holland loved standing around watching the excitement that others gained off me and how I got the crowd moving @ Awakenings for Preach last February just through my own excitement of being there and living the moment.
