The 'scene' as you put it doesn't make an impact on the world stage because most people don't like electronic music. im talking about toronto's dance scene's impact on the world dance stage.

For the record, dance music is huge around the world. Just as big as hip hop. Just not in the US and Canada.

It's big in Europe, and some parts of South America (metropolitan centers). Not the entire world. Hip hop is bigger in terms of mass appeal.

Anywhere ive been other than here, dance music was as up front and centre as hip hop and in many cases even more popular. And anytime anyone ever mentions canada when it comes to dance music they usually talk about montreal.
