Im a friend of Storyteller posting under his name, cause I dont have an account for myself. But I just had to react onto this track.

The bassline is the best thing I heard in any track for ages. I really dislike the rest of the song, because the sounds are (lets face it) crappy.
The delay on the percussion loop is not done. Also when those high tunes are played in a club everyone ears will be blown to pieces, and not because the tune is so amazing.
But that bassline just rocks the whole thing. Just because of that bassline I really would like to hear this track in a club.

I don't know how long you've been producing but from what I heard I can tell it ain't that long. So don't worry your sounds will improve with experience gained but just know that is one hell of a bassline you created.

Best of luck,
Thomas.

Fantastic track! Love it!

Love the whole thing, the bassline, the atmosphere and the synthwork!

Maybe some heavier drums, but it's not bad at all!

Good luck with it!

well that bassline really grabs you by the balls, eh?
I liked how all the synths really complimented the bassline. Very groovy and thats a plus with slower BPMs. Great job! Let's hear some more!

have to agree here if you chose better synths i think this track would rock. too much blippy sounds. its lacking some real deep synthwork.

the bass is awesome though. what you use to create that?

Posted by EtherealSL on Jan-10-2007 21:10:

niiiice, impressed with this one

Bassline is a monster, but the perc fills are weak, as mentioned earlier. Be careful with the plucked synth in the breakdown, there's a frequency in the mids area of that sound that will really hurt some clubbers ears if not EQed problem. Maybe a pad or two wouldn't hurt. I like the bitcrushed effect you put in there.

Still a beast of a track here, minor tweaks and you could get this picked up

Thank you all for the honest feedback and praises!

Bassline sounds like an unaltered sytrus preset (formant?). Also you need to get rid of those fruity drum fills and samples, or at least filter them and layer them until they're not reconisable anymore. I guess someone who doesn't use fruity much won't notice them but I think they really stand out too much. I don't like the way it sounds as is, but if you got yourself some new perc samples and made some more original sounding patches this might have potential.

Posted by david.michael on Mar-05-2007 20:27:

Project-K, I did use a Sytrus preset as a base, but it isn't unaltered. I also used plenty of non-FL samples, though I do agree I need new ones. I'm definitely open to suggestions on where to acquire them. Thank you for your honest review, I do appreciate it.

Terry Barker, thank you! Glad you liked it.

Bass is simply kick ass!!! Listening to this downstairs and my Sony 12inch is just purring down here (As in good). But the Fl loops need to go. Plus the fruity clap.

Perfect party song. Will be showing this to some freinds later on

sick sick sick bassss, need to develop the song a bit more!

luuuvv this bass

(listening in headphones on my laptop)
like most have said, the bassline in this is deadly!, youve got a whole nice groove going on in the track
would agree the crash isnt great...
sometimes that twinkly melody is a bit too loud imo, maybe sit it back in the mix a bit more, by either eqing it or more reverb and let that bassline dominate!!!
actually im not really a fan of that melody at all but anyways....

this track defo has somethin tho, when the bassline comes it gives me that feeling that its a "tune", well done

Yeah, a buddy of mine is in a band and he gave me the opportunity to play a pre-mixed set of my tracks in between his sets when he was playing out at a bar. But when that part came on, it was pretty ear-piercing. I really need a better monitoring environment/equipment... it didn't sound like that at home. The filter I used was pretty harsh on it.

JustinMead and Spliph, thanks for your compliments!

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you guys are still enjoying this track.

It's been offered to be signed by three small labels but I've turned them down. Well, I turned two of them down, and one of them never got back to me.
