what you talkin about man? crobar was 18+ on fridays in the summer..thats just how it goes because alot of people go away..what happened with those girls in that area really has no effect on what goes on now...Pacha's only 18+ because their friday party blows and they only make money of off JP and DT...only 15 more months til 21..thank godddddd

Well, in Crobar's defense, I can't help but see the irony whenever some1 says "Crobar's crowd sucks!".... Here is one of the most up and coming and entertaining trance DJs in the world that Crobar books, and on here, a website like Trance Addict, only a handful of people go. It's an endless cycle... if you don't go because you don't like the crowd, there's more room for the crowd you don't like to establish itself as the Crobar crowd... Same thing with Avalon a year back... They had some of the best bookings in New York but no, NYTA's were too above Avalon to ever go (because of some or another bad experience they had 2 years earlier)... so what happens? Because of so many people's "pride" of not allowing themselves to go to Avalon, sure enough, the minor crowd they didn't like, they take over and the club goes to shit, and there you are, we lost one of our major trance and techno venues...

if anything, we were the ones that made certain parties like L.E.F. so much fun and packed... if there's anyone fucking over Crobar, it was their Boris and Calderone nights, and all the drugs that were there on those nights, as much as i love Calderone, but cmon, it's plain common sense... and if you're going to blame Crobar's state now on the death of those underage girls, get your facts straight because they had nothing to do with Crobar, and with the venues they were going to, I doubt they were wannabe trance-fans, much less knew what trance was.

It's been much longer than a year since they've had consistent, good bookings. Basically since July/August 2005 when half of their management moved to Spirit and took their bookings with them. The only things I can think of that I've seen advertised were Max Graham, which I heard had sound/equipment issues all night and was the same night as Digweed @ Crobar and a couple of your parties which had issues (like Hydroid), or didn't have big names which are what draw crowds.

imo crobar closed down their doors to 18 plus people kause of the 18+ summer nights at crobar (rap parties) .. the thing i don't like about crobar is everytime i went to an event there to see armin or ferry, alot of people in the crowd cheered for the opener and called them armin or ferry.. like when atleast 50 people in the room were yelling ARMIN ARMIN ARMIN when remy was spinning, its idiots like these that piss me off.. although that has never stopped me from going to a party since i love the music enough to drown those idiots out, the second thing i hate about crobar is, the first time i ever went to crobar was september last year when armin came to spin.. they had h20 cannons that night and did all kinds of crazy shit with them, i remember they filled the entire club up with myst until you couldn't see an inch in front of you, it felt like you were all by yourself in a barren wasteland with just trance music.. and then they shot lazers into the myst and you got crazy seas of green/red.. that was my first exp at crobar and it was a damn good one.. after that when i went to the club for other parties.. there were no lasers or myst!

ahhh now i got myself reminiscing LEF parties... id see people there that looked like the least likely fans of Ferry Corsten, and yet everyone loved the guy... there were battles that looked like a JP event and yet you'd see the same people singing along to Ferry's "beautiful", it really was a good vibe with a million different types of clubbers... the crowd always stood still and never moved all over the place, and it was always COMFORTABLY packed, the vibe just couldn't be beat month after month after monthhh.... i miss it....
