Dude, try living off loans
That's another reason I try to go out only once a week.
Thank goodness for guestlists.

I have to say I like this job..now making it to school afterward.. THAT SUCKS

Thx dj_bas and gehzumteufel!

Ya, I dont like starting new threads if there is one already created, kinda dumb. I like bumping my old ones from time to time...

Used to do it when I was on other forums, so I like to apply the same rule.

Koroma, lemme know when you make your move, since the position at Google is only contact, its possible that the project might end and Ill be lookin for another job. I got another offer at another company up over by you guys called Genentech, but im not sure which one I want, either Google or Genentech.. hehe

The problem with my current position right now is no upward mobility. I have to sit here at this desk all frickin day and supervise and manage people and shit. After a while, you start gaining weight cause your not doing anything but sitting here all day. I can type like 80 words a min, but Id rather leave here before my ass becomes my stomach

The women here all are Butt Frankenstein ugly, theres no reason for me to stay. All the quality people left and the job has lost its luster.

DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get your foot in the door!!

at the very least, you'll boost your resume

btw: i'm a manager for a small software company in new jersey. my position lets me visit clients in cool places like england and ireland (this friday), denver, and los angeles (last year)

I was on track for a supervising Ph.D at Watson Pharm. but after much thought I realized that I would be happier at the F.B.I. (they need chemists) I am putting 2 years in as a special agent and then applying for the Hostage Rescue Team. The pay is a third of what I would be making at Watson but I will be much happier.

I am a chef/cook, accountant, personal shopper, hairstylist, cleaning service, party planner, chauffeur, nurse, tutor, and therapist. I dont get paid by check or cash. You cant put a salary on what I do but thats ok. My paychecks are seeing mostly every moment/event that my kids do/have. Those are priceless!

So, to answer the question, I LOVE my jobs.

Parker Hannifin. We do have a lot of Mech Engineers here. Positions open every so often. Not sure if there any external openings right now but they are usually posted up on Monster. Definitely a great company to work for.

We definitely should meet up for lunch sometime. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I can take my lunch anytime.

I know a bunch of people who have went on to work at Google.

All loved the perks, but they also felt like a hostage and just about all have left because of it. It killed some of their relationships and their ability to have nightlife fun on the weekends.

I guess the rumors of not expecting to go home much are true, lol!!

I am amazed so many peeps here are so open about their thoughts (mainly when it comes to not liking it) since so many companies these days do their best to scan the net every once in awhile to see if their employees are talking crap.

Dave
