think giuseppe ottaviani fused with sean tyas, stirred into stoneface & terminal, allowed to cool for ten minutes and served on a bed of o'callaghan & kearney

there is no way that anyone should use these to sum up Nichol. All these producers you have mentioned sum up why trance is now such a boring, dried up commodity.

SOS!!!

[same old sounds]

Posted by Fpcookie on Dec-23-2006 01:29:

er no soups

and in any case mike does play a style similar to those artists

Posted by Heidi_Fleiss on Dec-23-2006 01:58:

Oh now I've heard it all...

To even mention their names in the same sentence makes my stomach turn..

What a load of crud...

Posted by Slade on Dec-23-2006 02:00:

Behold, my arse.

NO!
I AM AUSTRALIA'S BEST TRANCE DJ!

Posted by Aesthetic on Dec-23-2006 04:52:

yes.. they are the nubreed of trance producers.. it sounds more like dance music than anything.. i used to enjoy stuff like what joc does but to be honest its pretty thoughtless uninspired music, IMO. glad someone else thinks that way.

what an idiot.

back to the thread topic.

mike nichol imo is one of the most talented djs ive seen. the creativity in the mix is what seperates him from the rest.

unfortunatly the dance scene is filled with tall poppy syndrome which takes away from seeing real talent come through.

I'm sorry but that makes no sense at all.

First you're saying that Mike is underrated.

Then you're saying that it's due to "tall poppy sydnrome"?

Isn't tall poppy syndrome where you make it to the top and then get cut down (like a tall poppy )

bingo!

although ottaviani i dont mind. least he makes his own tunes.

the other two.. do they need to remix everything? dont they have anything original?

when did i say mike was underrated?

the tall poppy comment has nothing to do with mike. im reffering to certain people in the scene dont like seeing others do well so will 'cut' them down at any chance, business i spose.

+1!!
They brought something new and hot to the table, then left it to get cold.
So over Discover! Mike, don't tell me you play like these guys!

what do you mean by business?

wtf u jaded cvnts how dare u say that Ottaviani is boring and creating dried up commodities

no wonder alot of people say trance is dead... its not because its dead its because half the population has become jaded...

Posted by deceptikon on Dec-23-2006 09:57:

Ottaviani is fucking great, I highly recommend you all get the video of him playing LIVE at Love From Above.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Dec-23-2006 12:52:

nu-nrg were my very first obsession. Ottaviani is sooooo crap. both of those guys are less than the sum of their parts. disappointing.

oh, and as far as DJs go, darvid bejick is easily the best trance DJ in oz. the only guy ive met with a better taste in trance than me.

and fuck you stan!

fuck i love holidays. lalalalalalaa.
