ooo we dropped a phat show at five a couple of weekends ago.

i spin like techy/proggy/electo-ey sex house a heavy dose of Kobbe & Austin Leeds, Max Graham, D-Nox & Beckers etc. I pretty much the only guy in Baltimore that does it, it's all deep house around these parts so it works out for the best. I spin mostly lounges - that's just because that's all there is around here - places like Kamp, Red Maple, Goodluv Bar, Skylounge.

In March this year there's gonna be a little bigger of a space opening called Mosaic - they had an outdoors thing going on this summer that worked pretty well... Kaskade came to spin as far as i remember.

It's Baltimore man, nothing special but I make it work to my advantage and the one gay club - Club 1722, or as I call it Baltimore's Anus just loves the shit that I drop, I guess it fits more into that setting that a lounge - where they love their deep house.

yeah that's what i thought for the first 4 months. there's places and nights and you just pick and choose i got lucky and met the right crowd and they pulled me into the right scene etc.

but sometimes i go "damn where'd all the white people go"

...and don't drive in the city past 4 am.

Actually, the gay scene has been the one to support EDM
better than any other demographic group.
Danny Tenaglia, Junior Vasquez, Masters At Work for example, were ones of the very early few who realized this and embraced them...

Tenaglia, Vasquez & MAW?

try Grasso, Gibbons, Mancuso, and Levan.

there is this really good gay club called Fly here, and it's next door to my apartment building! lucky me!

then there is 5ive (five) which is good too but I think it either changed names or closed down last week!

thanks for clearing that up

Many gay bars (especially in smaller cities) are filled with nasty dirty trolls that try to molest you or convince you to sexually compromise with monetary compensation. However, the same straight perverts exist (but only to chicks) in straight bars. Basically, going into a gay bar you have to be aware that you're the chick.

Posted by david.michael on Dec-21-2006 13:50:

Went to a local gay bar to see a headliner, and it was probably the most fun I've had at a club night to date. Had no trouble at all, though I'm sure the fact that there was a headliner there meant that it wasn't necessarily the "typical" crowd.

I was excited and disappointed at the same time to find out that they had the best sound and lighting system of anywhere else around here.

haven't done much of europe either, but it's my favorite indoor club from what i've been too. also, when you go to europe you'd most likely be a tourist and that's a whoooole different ballgame. Stereo is just so fucking consistent! haven't had a shit night yet

sound+vibe of stereo = pretty much unbeatable

sound quality isn't really a priority in a lot of clubs in Europe
