I am curious.. what is the best way to find out if you're allergic to a condom?
I was thinking of rubbing it on my inner arm seeing as that skin is sensitive.
Anyone? Jenny, nurse advice?
I have been finding that the condoms I am using now are causing irritation, and can really start to hurt after a while.

Originally posted by Theresa I'm the one who puts them on him, so I know they're going on properly... but yea, I am wondering if it's the spermicide. Next time I go to the doc, Imma ask her to test me for a latex allergry, and I'll do the arm test sometime when I can.

Originally posted by mezzir if you think it might be latex you could always just track down a disposable rubber glove and just tape it to your arm for a lil bit hope it all works out though

Originally posted by Theresa LOL that sounds funny, but it's a pretty good idea. I might go out and buy a latex glove just to test it.

Originally posted by mezzir lol well it sounds funny, but if you are allergic its gonna suck ![]() don't tape the whole thing, just cut off a finger or so, and make sure you keep an eye on it

Originally posted by Theresa I'm wondering if that protective powdery film on the inside might cause me to get fake results (aka, a reaction to the powder and not the latex). Do they even sell the gloves without the powdery shit?

Durex Avanti Made from a revolutionary new non-latex material, Durex Avanti hypo-allergenic condoms are much thinner than latex condoms, giving you the most natural feeling while still providing the protection you need. Non-spermicidal lubricant.
I found these at a select store here in Toronto, they are from England I think.
