Hi paul

I am still a huge fan of Vinyls too. 75% I would preffer spinning at my house parties is on Vinyls.

PS. I wonder if these two brothers ever seen a turntable? (just a thought)

Age is nothing but a number... if they got talent then thats all that should matter. There are DJ's in their 20s-30s-40s that suck!

word to the mayor.

----------

re: vinyl being expensive -- it sure is. but that's why as a dj, it's my job to seek out the best music (that little golden nugget among all the garbage out there) and to introduce or play it for the people who come out to have a good time. using 'vinyl is expensive' as a deterrent to perform one's job is an excuse. (that's not to say if you want to collect vinyl and that it's something you want to do but it's too expensive...well, that is an obstacle one must overcome...but if you really want to purchase music on vinyl, and that passion is really there, nothing will stop a person from accomplishing that goal). sure, digital downloads are easily accessible and compact disc's are easy to carry around to gigs...but that's just laziness, imo.

it's a vetting process. if the track's that great, it should have enough worth to be pressed onto the vinyl medium.

you think a grand is enough, eh? once you're afflicted with the vinyl addiction...i think you can relate to my disease. i live for finding what i deem the best music....whether it be old rock'n'roll 45's...or the newest pressing from 20/20 vision. doesn't matter what genre of music it is...what matters is that it was worth being pressed.

word.

King

to be honest, im the other way around... im too lazy to burn shit to CD and play them..LOL i havent played a cd out in ages haha it feels good when youre playing vinyl you know ? shit comes with a nice ass sleeve with a cover art THE MOTHAFUCKING GROOVES you feel with your fingers as youre literally touching the music. vinyls have that warm well rounded 'full' sound, where digitals have that cold, hollow sound and especially if its a track with a lot of mids & highs, forgettaboutit....

is it time to bring back my vinyl junkie alliance 2k7 style ? LOL.. i dont blame kids these days buying downloads instead of wax, cuz in reality they havent been bit by the vinyl bug. its all good, just dont play all mp3s youve downloaded.. fuckz say "oh you cant tell the difference if played on a big club system" go eat a dick cuz you can so fucking tell btwn a shitty mp3 track & an official pressed vinyl and/or wav/cd.

props to fellow vinyl junkies that dig, keep on diggin.

^gotta change the year..lol

Posted by DJ Eco on Jan-03-2007 15:35:

i love vinyl and i miss vinyl, but the stuff im playing, half the time, i cant even find on find on vinyl... im always playing my "friends'" stuff that's not pressed, or my own, or bootleg remixes... if i were to just play vinyl, it would limit my playlist severely, not to mention my wallet.... but yea, playing CDs cannot compare to playing vinyl, you're right
