I know I suck when mixing, but I didn't know you need to suck THAT bad when you want to make it big..

Back to the drawing board then!

Don't really have a favorite one, but the last one on James Zabiela's Renaissance - Utilities sounds nice...

Carbon Community - Simon Says --> Ellen Allien - Sehnsucht (Zabiela Live Edit)

Solar Stone's Chilled Out Euphoria compilation has a lot of neat transitions, my particular favourite being William Orbit - In a Landscape into Saints & Sinners - Peace (Michael Woods Remix).

I'll also mention Lustral - Broken (Way out West Remix) into Pulser - Cloudwalking (Beat Pusher Remix) on CD2 of Gatecrasher Resident Transmission, mixed by Matt Hardwick. Lots of energy there.

Perhaps it's a re-edit. The version of Xpander on there was different to the original as well, plus he got hold of The Light's re-edit of Fibonacci Sequence.

not a re-edit per say, the heaven scent version was an early version. same goes with xpander

Ah right. Did GU13 get released before Xpander and Heaven Scent then?

I'm going to one-up you and say the entire two-disc compilation is one of my favorite transitions. Just a beautiful CD.

xpander was released at the same time, heaven scent was released before. but it was very possible that sasha used his acetates or cdr's when it came to protooling his gu

Not really a beat mix, but a really cool fade in that I think sometimes sound cooler than beatmixes. Harmonic mixes are the best though.

1. Inside Your Arms - (featuring Ambrosia)
2. Leave Planet Earth - (featuring Talisman & Hudson)
3. Composure - (featuring Junk Project)

Another cool mix. Not as memorable as the first one, but still great tracks that flow into each other quite well. This was when Oakenfold was a competent mixer.

true

Plus one!

The way the breaks just goes into 4x4. Perfect.

Great Thread

On "Funky Chicken - 10 Ass Kicking Years"

Open Your Mind (Tremendos Summer Feelings Mix) - Mango Company

::Into::

Partyschein - Jens Ohlen And Alex Breuer

::Into::

Video Games Crash (Funka Mix)- Phunk Electric

Just UNBELIEVABLE, spot on harmonic mixing. I just love how I can't listen to any of the songs seperately now, it feels more natural to hear them together or for one to directly follow the other. Amazing. I think it was all mixed by guys called Theo Siegfried and Andreas Gessner who run the Funky Chicken club. I've been trying to see these guys for years, they hail from Cologne but I've not heard of them touring Scotland.

Ah well. At least I can hear their CD's.

I love the transition between these two
16 Fast Trac Inertia (3:58)

17 Blue Ocean Brightness (4:13)

on Tiesto's Forbidden paradise 4 CD.

It is so tight. If you haven't heard it you should. I think that that CD itself is really, really good.

James Holden - At the controls

The way he mixes minimal, trance, house, rock, IDM is incredible.

Pete Moss - Strive to Live (16B)
Adam Johnson - Traber

Digweed Fabric 20

Not a fullblown mix cd, but Chemical Brothers - It Began In Afrika / Galaxy Bounce from their album "Come With Us".
