All shows at Richards on Richards goes till 2am and any indication of it going later than 2am is false.

oh and.. uh.. i donno persian guy with curly hair.. umm.. obvious i guess.. always smilin tho

heya sep here again... to clarify, i did mention that the club would b closing a little early (it ended up being 2 30) but it was a insane set! and i'd like to thank you all for coming out! and i did see the guy in the markus Tee! hahah goold

Posted by apri_peel on Feb-18-2007 19:51:

haha mark sporting the markus shirt was awesome, he was having such a great time

it was great seeing many TAs again, i havent been out in a while, i've missed you guys!! the atmosphere was good in general, i enjoyed the people, enjoyed people watching too hehe several interesting ones, the ladies especially

can't say i enjoyed the first guy's set very much, the tunes weren't bad but he still needs some technical practice and maybe tone down his excitement, just a bit, but then again, it got the crowd going so that was a plus. i would have liked markus to start earlier to make it a 3-hour set as the promoters promised, especially that i paid $40 and wanted the biggest bang for my buck. why do promoters rarely ever do everything they promised?

i haven't listened to much new trance since probably september-october, so it was interesting to hear this huge influence electro has had on the music in the last while. i wasn't there long enough to get the real feel for markus' set but sounded like he was playing the trancy electro which has annoying high pitched sounds that i did not like. he played a couple of good trance tunes tho.

markus schulz has lost weight too heh. i remember him being a bit chubby. must be the crazy life of a DJ.

on the last note i'd like to mention the horrid washrooms. i enjoy richards on richards, its a nice venue, but can they not fix their washrooms ffs?! they are absolutely disgusting

Markus Van Buuren

haha ..

Review huh .. ok ..

I just wanna say first it was great seeing alot of you
again that I havn't seen in what feel ages! Good times

Now to the gritty ..

The sound in that place is completely awefull. I guess
maybe setup for a rock show or else. Sound just bounces
in there and you get nothing but reverb. My ears hurt
near end of night, high pitch squeeking for my elder ears
is no longer tolerated. It was like that time I watched
two hamsters try to blow eachother, very squeeky.

Persians are cool

Tracklist was rather meak, but I like the last hour best.
Filled with classics and markus remix of "your loving arms"
really hit the spot nicely. Other then that remix I've
heard nothing else I was hoping for. It's too bad there's
that lag of like 6 months from the time a track hits radio
to the point it gets floor play, ah well ..
If I hear "black is the colour" on the dancefloor ever again it's
gonna force me back into TA retirement ..

Mark wins the offical 'DJ Worship' award of the night.
Thadda boy Go hard or go home. You've got European blood, I can see that. Now share up some of those front row pics ...

All in all .. fun it was Till next time

Posted by xtr3m on Feb-18-2007 21:13:

I had fun, alright!

Even though I really wanted to hear the darker and deeper side of Markus the crowd was way too energetic for that. Oh, well, I still have my weekly GDJB.

Some more ID's:

In the beginning: Julian Jeweil - Air Conditionne
In the middle: Ronski Speed - The Space We Are
At the end: Way Out West - Mindcircus (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)

Oh, and Leon: I don't think he played Clear Blue. ;/

It was great seeing most the gang. I'm sorry for being a little bit antisocial and spending most of the time at the front.

Photos and videos to follow.

that's probably why all the electro sounded terrible
so far, gecko has sounded the best for electro

wow, mindcircus. i dont think i've ever heard that track on the dancefloor, wish i had stayed to hear it
