I've noticed that most of your posts make about as much sense as a cross eyed, toothless, hairless, one footed, hemaphroditic swimsuit model... That's probably NOT your style, though...duh doyee

pvd tickets?

Is there anywhere else I can purchase PVD tickets like how the tiesto tickets were being sold at satellite before?
Are they being sold at launch?

Posted by ZeeRobot1 on Mar-21-2007 19:32:

Just go to your local publix and go to their ticketmaster booth by where they sell cigs.

Posted by Xevious on Mar-21-2007 20:09:

wrong on both counts. paul uses ableton live and, at best, does air pianos.

He had 5 midi controlers and a live drummer? 2 of the Midis being keyboards, 1 of them the xzone mixer and 2 others. I think one was the UC33

that shit is way too hardcore....

Posted by Xevious on Mar-29-2007 23:01:

He's making little twirly things with his hands...
He uses ableton w00t that means we get uber mixes with him playing air pianos!

He is pretty much traveling with a booth as pathetically odd as Jonathan Peters.

Don't put those two in the same boat. If you have any understanding of live audio, there's nothing "pathetically odd" about it. It's all about having options on the fly... which PVD's setup has given him. JP's setup is over the top for his ability as a DJ.

Yet Paul still can't do much that gets me excited with all of that shit. One computer running Ableton hooked up to a MIDI controller is more than enough to do the trick. Why in the hell does he need keyboards, drummers, studio mixers, and things of the like for the shit sets he seems to throw down. You don't need any of that to play an ATRC accapella at 140bpm.

You're still thinking inside the box. Live improv man... in case he wants to toss in a loop created on the fly.. an auxiliary melody. True, to "DJ" he has more than he needs, but in case he wants to add some improvisational elements, his setup provides him with this capability.
