I thought that I could find somebody better than her.... So, now after 4 years I realize how badly I have screwed up... Probably going to regret this rest of my life...

I would not have danced so close to the speakers. Now I always hear crickets and it's driving me mad.

No reason to, whos to say that you would still be together in those 4 years?

Posted by BTG on Jan-29-2007 03:26:

maybe i shouldn't have slept with as many womens as i did. my gf has a hard time getting over my past somtimes. she thinks i'm gonna do it again whenever i get a chance.

Posted by L.E.N. on Jan-29-2007 03:33:

BTG...that non trust thing will always be an issue. Its her problem, that will most likely ruin everything.

I wish I had had the guts to study Linguistics in São Paulo, although I'm now working hard to "catch up".

marcus as long as u are studying and happy to study the field of your choice .....that's all what matters

parents often have an another view about what their kids and jobs , careers....and i guess it's hard for them to accept we want to emancipate and wont necessarily become what they dreamt us to be, but parents have to accept that children are not like little dolls or muppets , so even if they may not be totally satisfied with your choice or decisions.....that's your life , that's you who is building your career ,as long as it makes u glad that's the most important

I wouldn't of messed about in school and college. I've had to do things the hard way and ended up in a job I don't really enjoy doing.

Posted by Lilith on Jan-29-2007 10:28:

No point kicking yourself in 20-20 hindsight unless you learn something from it, regardless of all the awful choices I've made in the past and been a part of some peoples other crap decisions, I've made some big wins as well that I'm proud of.

Posted by RandomGirl on Jan-29-2007 10:32:

Assuming I would know what I know now, I would change the numbers on the last lottery ticket I bought.

Posted by Taranis on Jan-29-2007 10:48:

Honestly, I'm not sure. There are so many things I wish dearly I'd done differently, but how do we know whether the alternative would be better off? How do we know that the lesson learnt from those mistakes isn't more valuable than what we lost to them? I do know that I'd be a very different person now if I did those things differently, and I've got a feeling that it would not necessarily be a better person, and perhaps not a happier one either.

I've made a lot of mistakes I wish I hadn't, but I've still got the vast majority of my life ahead of me to enjoy, having learned my lessons from those mistakes early on.

If I was in those situations again I know I'd act differently, but thats only because of the person I was shaped to be by those events, so I can't say that if I could go back and change those things, it'd necessarily be a good thing.
