I have 2001 GTI...the last year they were made in Germany. I doubt its the reason but its been a great car.

since its a lease I can understand. VW always need a drop. You can get a quality set of wheels and sell them off when the lease is up, you'd make most of your cash back. I had someone offer me 4 grand for my wheels when they were already 5 years old.

i call bullshit on this because i was looking at getting a GTI almost a year ago when i was car shopping. i was looking at an 04 that had a vin that was WVW...the german manufactured ones.

I actually financed mine, so I don't have to put up with the mileage restrictions and other limitations of leasing. Plus, I can pay-off my term, and sell the car whenever I want.

you can sell your leased vehicle whenever you want. what you sell it for buys out the lease.

do you buy a ferrari or lambo for practicality?! FUCK NO! you buy it because you CAN! you dont buy it as a grocery getter, soccer mom transportation, baby carrier etc. you buy it for its aesthetics, performance, luxury, and exlusivity. NOT practicality.
