felix hernandez is pretty good, and his pitches are mature for his age(21). hopefully, he can keep this up another 7 to 9 years, or learn new pitches that don't have heat, because if not, tommy john is right there in the corner.

Posted by medinaM5 on Apr-13-2007 01:02:

yeah come on, the kid just got to legally drink a beer 4 days ago and how does he celebrate? throwin a one hit shutout game, to the boston red sox. not bad for his age

I bet 100 bucks (american) tonight that the blue jays would not win the AL east. What do you guys think my chances are?

Posted by fmodena369 on Apr-18-2007 22:13:

Even though the defense was sick and helped him big time, congrats to Mark Buerhle on his no-no
Would've been perfecto were it not for walking Sammy Sosa

Greetings to all the MLB regulars on here ... been very busy with school and all, but I couldn't help but bump in here to discuss the amazing no hitter by whats-his-name of the White Sox. I saw the video of the game highlights of 'im, I cant believe there wasn't a single hit. Check it out:

Mark Buehrle's one walk shy of a perfect game on 04/18/2007.

Video highlights of his pitching, few minutes long!

While I was at it, I digged up a link of a video from the last perfect game in the leagues, Randy Johnson in 2004 against the Braves if anyone cares to watch highlights of that - first couple innings the sound is little messed, but it gets good later on. Notice at the end of the game Braves fans were cheering and clapping for Randy.

Arod is making everyone in MLB suck his cock right now! Craziness

two more again tonight against the Shit Sox! Unbelievable display....even if it is April. I think it's going to be a good year for Mr. Rodriguez.

too bad your pitching sucks ass...you guys pulled out the big guns last night and it still wasn't enough. should be an interesting season. the stankees have a great offense but the sox have a really strong pitching staff this year.

except, and I still cannot for the LIFE of me figure out why Julian FUCKING Tavarez is in the rotation.... are they plugging it till Lester comes back? It boggles my mind, I, myself would give Pinero the 5th spot, then again, I've hated Wakefield since I was in the 4th grade, so the 4 and 5 spots look disastrous to me...

and if Lester can't be the same, then, they better win ALL of Curt's, Beckett and Dice K's starts....

i'm optimistic...lol

Oh yeah, Yanks are winning without Mike Mussina, Chien Ming Wang, and Carl my pu$$y hurts Pavano. So yeah... when you have Darrell Rasner, Chase Wright, and Jeff Karstens in their places then the pitching staff won't look too appetizing. Bring those guys back along with signing Clemens (which will happen) then the Yanks pitching staff will become marginal. With that offense, that's all their gonna need. Plus, bring up Phil Hughes in July!

Beckett has started off well but I think he sucks. He started off well last year too and ended up giving up the most homers in baseball. He always has great stuff but relies on his fastball wayyyy too much. And that fastball is very straight. He should mix in his very good offspeed stuff more.

Dice K is very good but he should be...they spent 100 million on the guy. What expectations for that money would you expect?

i wish!

and juice, I actually like Beckett, and even his blisters too!

Posted by fmodena369 on Apr-22-2007 19:12:

yea you like beckett now...until he starts losing and giving up 4 runs a game like every year he plays...just not the red sox year ONCE AGAIN

not really, I'll always like Beckett, ever since he was a hot prospect for the Fish... always liked his stuff...

and actually, if he starts giving up 4 runs a game, I WON'T pounce on him like others will, because its JOSH fucking BECKETT... guy is great... i've never talked shit about him and never will...

Posted by partyhopper on Apr-23-2007 01:21:

Wow, Red Sox equaled the Dodgers' feat from last year, of 4 home runs in a row
Doing it against the Yanks to boot too

But I guess the Dodgers have an edge in that they did it while trailing by 4 in the 9th inning, to tie the game (and eventually win it), and 2 of the homers were off one of the best closers (and not a AA pitcher like Chase Wright)

Interesting that JD Drew was involved in both of them

Posted by Member of X on Apr-23-2007 03:10:

Dice K didn't look too zesty tonight. Yanks need better than a AA guy starting. Wang is back Tuesday which is nice. Moose back the next week. Pavano can rest at home on his sofa cleaning his vagina. I think Dice K will be good just not overpowering ace good. There is 10 other pitchers I'd rather have in the league for sure. Maybe more.

Cole Hamels with 15 K's. Matt Cain shutting peeps down. Rich Hill. Lots of rising young guys... really cool to watch.

Yanks v. Red Sux is the biggest rivalry in sports in my opinion. Maybe Duke v. North Carolina or Michigan vs. Ohio St. But I don't see any other pro rivalry at the moment that compares. Sorry... it gets the attention for a reason. Biggest rating in playoff history is the red sux/yankees series.

Posted by partyhopper on Apr-23-2007 03:44:

For the first time in 17 years, Red Sox get a sweep of the Yanks at Fenway

Posted by Caela on Apr-23-2007 03:53:

AHHHHHHH RED SOX SWEEP YANKEES HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
