in my case, i was the only one making the effort to bring it up and work through it. he wasn't. he was too embarrassed or something. like moral said, things happened so quickly. i was so resentful too because i was REALLY skeptical of moving with him...i thought it was too soon and i was scared it would ruin things and make us end, and sure enough, it did.

Yeah poo. And on the other side of the fence I've been there too, lol. And yep there definitely comes a time when you can give too much or do so much of the work without reciprocation.

Haha...ah fuckin relationships!

Posted by Slylee on Feb-15-2007 18:33:

whatever, i'll make him his dumb little CD and just play it cool. stay busy. focus on my sexy FB whom i was starting to like a little bit, but of course now i'm all in craig mode.

my FB is driving me nuts lately, he always likes to play games and try to make me jealous and i don't fall for it and act cool, and i know it drives him nuts, so now he's being a brat. he's so hot though lol

i hate men sometimes.

I'm pretty sure the breakup made those issues he has even worse.

It could have, however, often times the loss of someone or something important to one will act as a wake up call (if you will) leading to a period of self reflection, which in turn may lead to self improvement. Wow, was that a run on sentance or what?

Posted by Lira on Feb-15-2007 18:38:

Wait, how can daily porn be a problem?

[Unless you're Slylee, the following paragraph contains too much information]

I either do it before going to sleep or when I want to study and need some extra stamina... that doesn't mean I love my girlfriend any less. I can't understand how that could be a problem either. I've always told her that it's just like fantasising, but with a visual aid — and the bonus is that, although she was the only girl I've ever slept with, I had a vast knowledge on how to rock her world since the beginning

[/too much information]

Really, pr0n doesn't matter at all... I can't consider that unfaithfulness.

I think it was the content of the porn more so then the quantity thereof.

Why? Was it illegal?

Actually, no it wasn't. Your proper (and effective) use of commas makes me proud.

Posted by wienerschnitzel on Feb-15-2007 18:44:

it all boils down to what you are willing to deal with and where you draw the line. If the pr0n was the only thing bothering you then maybe you two could work it out, if there was more then that.. then i would seriously rethink making another commitment. I guess what i'm trying to say is, everyone has their issues, eli is a compulsive liar, and i'm a control freak. It took us a year or so to admit it, but slowly we are starting to deal with it and we've made alot of progress, and alot of compromising.

yeah

Well, let's hope, for slylee's sake.

Slylee, you can consider a relationship with him, if you really feel there's something in it. But I still stand by my point that he's definitely fucking with you when it comes to that CD and the e-mails. This is textbook.

If he knows his shit, in a couple of weeks he'll be giving you less and less attention. Upto a point when you start seeking contact yourself, wondering what's up with him and etc. And when that happens, you're bagged.

I repeat, it's a TARP!

That would likely require an exhaustive investigation of the producer's records contrasted with supporting documentation. Let's just say there was cause for concern.

I've already briefed her on male techniques on obtaining power in relationships.

Posted by wienerschnitzel on Feb-15-2007 18:48:

oh yeah it's a total tarp. I dated this guy off and on for 3 years until he broke up with me and told me he was going to look for someone better and if he couldn't find someone then he would date me again so of course i told him to fuck off. For the next 3 years he would call me off and on doing the same shit.. sending me birthday cards, calling to see how i was doing (he's living in millwaukee) sending emails with pictures.. stuff like that, there was no way i was giving in to that shit because i knew this guy knew how to pull at my heartstrings and pull the same shit. he did this until i was married.

Posted by tubularbills on Feb-15-2007 18:52:

just go with your gut. but i think that it would be best if you didn't go down that road again. they're called an "ex" for a reason right?

from what i've gathered from your explanations, it didn't sound like there was a horrible, awful breakup....which i think tends to lead people to get back together. then there's a 2nd breakup and it's uuber shitty.

do your best to remain friends - the first email you sent out, or whatever it was, to get him hoooked up w/ that fat bastard was a good, friendly idea/gesture. i'd keep it at that, and wouldn't do any "favors" or anything.

best of luck to you. i just hate to see people get back w/ their exes, only to regret it miserably down the road.

, where in Milwaukee? i'll go kill him next weekend.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-15-2007 18:54:

Wow, I can be pretty naive sometimes. It's so obvious now that Craig is just being a manipulative fag...and here I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.

*smacks forehead*

Posted by XaNaX on Feb-15-2007 18:55:

I dunno, I didn't read the whole thread, but getting back with this guy sounds like a bad idea to me.

haha don't worry, he knows i would have been the best girl for him and he will most likely spend a good portion of his life regreting being such a douche. Our mutual friends told me that after breaking it off he set out to find a girl just like me he got married last summer to my mum's best friends daughter.. she's deffinatly not as cool as me and i guarantee she didn't give him anal

beginner mistake, he gave up all his chances with this one

Turtle edit: This only works with teenagers.

Smart girl.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is that mind-games are not only womans territory, and the women that fail to realise that, get seriously powned. Some men can be very masterful, showing themselves like grunts who don't have a clue, but then manipulating you like you've never been manipulated before.

I've actually gotten back girls I didn't really want a relationship with, just to show them how devious a man can really be. They felt like shit after I told them and told me I'm the most cruel fucking douche ever, and then a year later they thanked me for giving them a great lesson. Guess it's just my perverted way of making the world a better place.

yo! ON LOCK. there's only one megan, even i know that.

Posted by Slylee on Feb-15-2007 19:51:

yea i think it would be better if i just keep an emotional distance. i got all freaked out at his email this morning, but i went for a drive and gathered my thoughts and i'm just gonna to go with it and quit thinking about it.

i asked myself how i would feel if he just asked me back and i honestly don't want to. not that he is going to do that, but i was just asking myself for shits and giggles, and i really don't want to settle down again. i'm too scared to, not just with him, but with anyone. i like my freedom. maybe the fact that my FB called me when i was out running errands and made me laugh.

so i think i'll be ok. he can lay on all the charm he wants and i would like to be friends with him, but on my terms, and that's it. it's just not gonna go down like that again. not that he royally dicked me over last time, but i sure felt royally dicked over anyway. lol
