I like trance because I think it sounds good.

It doesn't send shivers through my soul like the flowing of a bla bla bla. That's just bullshit. I don't gaze into the sky contemplating the beats or some other crap. It sounds good, I listen to it. Any Shakespearean quotes or sensual poetry would just be bullshit on my part.

Am I the only person on the boards who feels this way? Cos looking around at people's sigs and comments, it would seem so!

I'm with you. I think it's better that any other techno genre 'cause it sounds "dizzy" and i love to listen to it
Naturally this doesn't mean i'm not addicted as any1 else on the board

i god i love trance, once you hear it, nothing stands a chance.
everytime i hear it, i get goosebumps around, i love the epic, uplifting sound.
i hate when other people talk shit about trance, then they listen to that garbage hip hop which i cant stand..
stupid people they take hip hop as a cult, but all i see hip hop is mother goose rhymes for adults.
then they got those britney, nsync homos listening to that shit, in every song they make they put the word "baby" in it.

laters...

*WHY I LOVE TRANCE*

It moves me like no other genre, in every sense of the word. Emotionally, physically, motivationally.

With trance, it`s not centered around all the nonsense, materialistic, fake crap. It`s only the DJ providing the music...the music becoming the heart beat of the crowd...the crowd hearing it and wanting more.

There is some sort of unspokensolidarity among trance heads. Asyou find yourself dancing, strangers around youwill give you an encouraging smile, and you spend the rest of the night feeding off eachothers energy.

There is no wrong way to dance to trance. As long as you`re are feeling the music and you`re having fun, thats all that matters.

Trance is just one genre, but within it there are so many different styles. Like a seemingly simple onion, once you start unraveling it you come across so many different layers...

when i sit there with my eyes closed and concentrate on the sounds it makes my head spin

this might also be a side effect from too many knocks in the head but ill blame the music

Smoking ..umm..something

I agree with a lot of the comments being made here.

I too grin from ear to ear when I hear an excellent buildup, and sometimes the music is so good it makes me cry.

The first time I heard "Push - Tranzy State of Mind (Club Mix) I shat myself. Sometimes the frenzy of a Scot Project tune can cause blood to ooze out of my face. Once I got a rash after a Ferry Corsten gig. The Doctor put it down to overwhelmingly good trance music.

My mate actually collapsed dead listening to "Marc Dawn - Expander - Flutlicht mix)".

Powerful stuff...

Ru sure the Doctor didn't put it down to exceedingly powerful narcotics?! LOL

Every time u listen to a tune, in different circumstances, it is comparable to taking another possible route on your own Magik Journey.

I disagree mate.

Nothing comes close to going on your own magic journey.

Posted by dj_mdma on Apr-09-2002 22:08:

Thats what i meant!

A magic journey from your starting point to the end point.

There can be many routes to the end point. Each time u interpret a tune is like going a different way but still ending up at the same end bit. Like reaching euphoria..

Trance moves me like nothing else. It can contain the fury of Jimi Hendrix and the melody of Beethoven. It's just incredible!

To tell you the truth guys, I have a slight hearing
problem. If I'm going to be listening to music, it's
gonna be something with little or no words. I can
hear everything, but when it comes to words it's all
garbled up, so I have to listen to the songs
with alot of words like a million times to understand it.

Trance is the only music I listen to, 24/7, mainly the
uplifting type. Trance is my only friend. I don't
socialize really well with society cuz I'm different
from everybody. I don't even know why I'm telling
you guys this. Maybe some of you guys feel this way.

When I go to raves or afterhours and listen to trance,
it keeps me going and I socialize with everyone.
I belong with trance and nowhere else.

I'll be listening to trance till the day I die.
You can bet on it. Peace

I have a similar problem to you Sebby, except I can usually make out vocals in normal 'pop' songs or other types but I find it much harder with types of music like Trance. I still prefer vocal trance anyway though, even if I can't tell what is being said.

dj mdma, listening to trance music will never compare to actually going on your own magic journey.

That you say listening toi trance is comparable is silly. You've obviously never been on a magic journey.

Sigh...newbie
