Will Lawler be playing LATE is in after 5 AM?
This is a pretty damn close poll. Like I said before, Ive decided to go to both. Ive seen all three of these guys on top of their game and imo the last time I saw Lawler was one of the best nights Ive ever had out period. I'm not bashing Morillo for his success....he guy is great at what he does but on his own level. He can drop a sick ass set but as far as set programming and technicality goes, he doesn't stand a chance against Howells and Lawler when it comes to my musical taste.
You can have your own opinion and thats cool because thats what our music that you and i love is about having particular taste. I've seen all these dj's several times, actually Howell's only oncebut have countless sets for chilling at the house to listen to or to drive in the car.The time i saw Howell's the club had cleared within the third hour(that typically doesnt mean anything)but i was sleeping after the next2 so he really didnt impress me at all.My friend Dave and Dave jr. went to the Howells/Wink party 2 years ago and to this very day he calls it the worst party that he has ever been to,at any club ever the worst!!!And about the programmimg,Morillo does some pretty good mixes, samples great vocals he uses the effects box in a way that i think alot of people will agree is pretty much one of the best. With the exception to some people that we all know that use it as the main source of there music.I mean there are alot of haters of dj's that have become popular, but the fact remains that they did something to appeal to everyone not just hardcore EDM enthusiasts. They to me are the best dj's because they can throw down nasty underground tech sets and still pull off being what you would call maintsream dj's that play popular tunes that (he) made popular. That seems to me to be rather difficult.I mean im a Space frequent and i talk to alot of smart people regarding dj issues and if you speak with anyone and ask who's the best at Space they will all tell you 3 names Sander,Morillo,Sanchez thats it.The last time Howells spun people where leaving at 9am..Really boring(and i am very exceptant of dj' that build there sets but i dont want to wait 6 hours to hear something i like, but thats just me..But on the other hand and i give props to the Danny he is a very good dj technically and has been doing it pretty well for a long time.I just dont think that just because he hasnt spun in SFL for a while doesnt mean that he is worth going to see in my opinion, while Morillo is Miami and he exudes Miami, and its lifestyle..
Now Lawler to me is one of the best because he doesnt gay out. He drops alot of really good dark tracks. He impressed me alot..he had a stupid short set which was kinda gay but thats another story. So Lawler all the way that night, also because the Twilo system makes Pawnshops its bitch.
Thats just my opinion since you shared yours about Morillo and your fondness of Howells which is a very good dj in his own right as you said of Morillo, but for me during WMC i want bangin shit thjat goes all day long..and i wonder who will do that???
after last years set @ space i would have to say lawler hands down!!!! dude is a freakin animal behind the decks
Lawler was sick that night..
Howells for me!!!!!
Dude is cool as shit!!
