its still 20c for intl text messages with telus, until and unless you have unlimited text messaging for 10$ a month then only you pay 5c a message for intl text messaging or get the 5$/100 text messaging

so your friends on telus are telling you a load of crap, but its true to a certain extent, how do i know this? because i work for telus lol

yeah, that's what i said - a text messaging plan.

i still think it's a giant pile of bullshit that i should have to pay for an itemized bill, which i didn't have to do up until a few months ago. how else do i know whether they are overcharging me? that's total crap. it should be automatic.

I know you are not exaggerating.

I called and reported my phone lost/stolen, for two months after I still got charges for full plan on their system. I would call, and sure enough, it was in their system that I had called and cancelled but I was still getting charged for a phone that I didn't even have or use (the phone itself was not even in use, no calls from it, nothing). (and no, I wasn't under contract).

PS! is telus the only one that doesn't do GSM (or GMS or whatever they're called) phones?

It's GSM, and no, Bell is also CDMA afaik.

Edit: Liam can lick a goat's ass.

you know what else is funny getting a 30 page bill with phone numbers you will never even check to see. I am sure you could view it online for free through bell or any other provider.

no your incorrect, telus has not launched any of their phones which are hybrids for MIKE and GSM, but yes you can buy one of ebay which is unlocked and can be used on the iDEN network with MIKE

no telus is the only CDMA/iDEN provider, iDEN runs of GSM technology similar not the same. and the MIKE network has a diffrent coverage, and has the Direct Connect option which is very cool!

Posted by E2EK1EL on Feb-23-2007 20:03:

GSM all the way!

Posted by nadezhda on Feb-23-2007 20:05:

ok, i have another telus question. LOL (they are who i'm leaning towards switching do, but i dunno)...

if i am in the states with my phone and someone leaves a voice mail on my phone which i never actually listen to until i am back in canada, do i get charged for them leaving me a msg/my voice mail picking up the call?

yes we do because we have a mutual agreement to do so, but does not mean we dont have our own towers in the east, we do have numerous equal to bell but more in city areas, only rural areas bell controls majority.

yet another reason why telus spent 300 million $ on just upgrades last year. and soon we will have EV-DO revision A and B shortly to compete against rogers HSPDA and EDGE technology.

It takes less time than you think! haha You could even open the quote, copy the text, go back, open the new quote, paste the other text and there ya go - less windows/tabs open! If you have more than 3 quotes, just keep copying and pasting within the one window.

Anyway...I didn't know if you were aware of how to anyway, so now you know

Same.

Not that I'm unhappy with my contract or something. Or my phone for that matter. I just want a new one. All these new phones are making me drool.
