-- Anyone going to Hernan Cattaneo over Armin van Buuren?

^^ I am sure that he is referring to the fact that Crobar is a large club.... and that Armin has a huge fan base in NYC and thus a lot of people will be going to PACHA, thus making Crobar a tad more empty that it would be had hernan played without any competition for the night. It will still be relatively full imo.

Hernan's shows are always never crowded when he's here. I'd like to know the turnout at Cattaneo though

I went to Hernan (not the one in Sept, but the one before that) and it was a pretty tight squeeze. But, no other big names were playing that night either.

BINGO.

Also, friday nights at crobar are almost never packed, unless its a big name like PVD, tiesto, Armin, etc... While Hernan is well known, he certainly doesn't fall within that category.

I wasn't saying that he can't draw, its just that friday nights don't draw like saturdays.

I think he accidentally added "never" ?

It doesn't make much sense... always-never???

I've been to every Hernan show at Crobar since 2004. While he's not at the annoyingly crowded Tiesto/Sasha & Digweed level, his shows do get pretty packed.

YESSSSSSSSS!

Hernan will always be hernan, but he hasn't done it for me lately, and I don't think this will be any different. Ricky Ryan (Can Costa) is one of my favorite producers to come on the prog scene in years, and he's going to RIP the Love system. Our old friend Noel Sanger will surely bring the hotness as well.

Not to mention, we're way cheaper (both door and bar), the crowd is always awesome, and the sound is phenomenal. What more could you want?

Hey man, is there a guest list or smth? THIS WILL BE AMAZING! I'm driving down from Philly - just wanted to make sure I'd get in.

Thanks!

There's plenty of things on TA that doesnt make much sense. And I think you know what I meant by my last statement.

The time he was here in the summer...I think it was back in 05...I saw the pics and it looked like the same amount of people when Eddie Halliwell was here last. It wasn't packed.

There definitely will be. Keep an eye out for the official thread (finalizing the flyer and stuff), as there will be a link.

How much time at Crobar?

Posted by Indigo on Mar-01-2007 04:30:

Oh yeah and since we're talking about Crobar and waiting in line, check this video out... it's Bruno, Sacha Cohen's (Borat), other alter ego.. he's actually in Miami's Crobar (towards the end of the video) not letting some guy in... it's hilarious!

depends on what time you get there. I would say at most ten minutes. You'll probably be able to walk right in b4 midnight. After that, you'll probably have a minimal wait, until around 2-3.

damn! you guys know that hybrid is at webster hall on the same night. now i don't know what i'll do.

i have never heard one Noel Sanger production or set that could come anywhere close to being cloassified as electro. historicly his productions were progressive breaks.. and progressive... "Summer Breeze II" comes to mind... yes he has gotten "trancy" at times..

I dont want to bash hernan, because he was my favorite dj for about 2 years...however, last time i saw him at crobar he was up around the 132-135 bpm... and it was primarly prog trance, not that dark prog house I came to expect.. so now he's lost me

Well there's really nothing you can do about it... producers aren't producing Prog-House anymore.. most are doing Electro or Minimal

BUT

I just threw a party back home for X-Mas with a Mexican DJ (Karlos Elizondo)... wow that was tight... Prog, dark.. a lil bit of Minimal, you can check it out in Proton Radio if you hace on demand

Crobar is strictly 21+ now.
