I think we more ready for Sven "Loonie Toon" Vath vs DT then for Richie Hawtin vs DT.

dt seems to be really excited for the gig

I'm not trying to say that at all. I am absolutely looking forward to hearing Hawtin. I'm not so much a DT fan but I have been waiting for Hawtin to come back!

Oh absolutely. What I mean by what I said is that I haven't really listened to enough Tenaglia to be as excited to see him as much as Hawtin. Don't get me wrong, all of what I have listened to from DT I have liked, but it's not enough to have an educated opinion about him. Definitely looking forward to both, that's for sure.

I been to their afterhour beach parties years ago but last few summers we rent a villa for ourselves and rent equipment. (A little more lay back) The Monday morning(s) are not the same nomore but still alright on the Island. We were at Vinyl, I think it was still Vinyl then, and it was on Christmas with DT, where somebody from UK told us to come along for a 2 week 2K NYE celbration on Ibiza and 3 days later a wooping 65 clubbers got on the plane to go there. Its hard keeping track there sometiimes after first 24-48 hours.

I don't know about you but I'd take some of that this weekend already. I won't wait as longest as June.

you'd think a DJ should have a minimal amount of dancing skillz given the obvious connection between dancing and the chosen occupation. Vath looked like a straight up douche bag dancing. And those short were hilarious. Gotta love the chosen summer gear of some of those european men who obviously care not for the optical pleasures of everyone else.

EDIT: I just watched the DT video and it made me think. What's the deal with the flashlights?? I mean, i like it, it shows he's out there for a good show, but still, what's his purpose? I've been wondering that since the days of vinyl, but i've never cared to look or ask, until now.

i wouldn't try to be anything else.

that wasn't a comment about european men, it was a comment about european men who wear short shorts, and speedos. For that matter, americans who wear shit like that are funny too. It's just that european men cross that line more. The only reason i said european men at all is because vath is european; perhaps a tenuous excuse, but its what i thought at the moment.
