OK, so check this out...(also posted in the HouseHeads Thread)...

Daft Punk - Live @ Twilo (NYC) - Part 1 - 16-10-1998

[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

Set Description...

"...Back in 1998, Daft Punk played an amazing set at then-superclub Twilo, alongside Cassius. This was the height of the French House mania (even in the States), and a lineup like that was not to be missed. Neil Aline organized the whole thing together with the Respect is Burning team in Paris.

A legendary night I snuck in even though I was too young..shhh with a legendary group of performers. I remember sitting by the side bar next to the DJ booth in Twilo with my friend getting our picture taken by, who else, the guy that now does lastnightsparty.com.

So my friend had access to Dafts incredible set straight from the source. And there were only a few copies of this in the world

Till now."

Comment...

"Oh my! The Intergalactic (Daft Punk remix) MP3 I got back in the early Napster days! Also known as Alan Braxe - Vertigo (Thomas Bangalter mix) mixed with Intergalactic. Dont know who did it, but theyre probably playing this white label.

Interesting how they would mix in Intergalactic like this and then DJ Sneak vs. Le Knight Club reuses the Intergalactic sample ever-so-subtly for Intergalactik Disco on Crydamoure.

Also that first track is haunting me. I know I have a copy of it somewhere

The last track is, of course, Lil Louiss French Kiss, the first house track to hit #1 on dance charts back in 1989. There is a great paper deconstructing French Kiss that I used for my little house music research project in school, but they took my school website down so Ill have to hunt around for the link."

If it's over at 11, then it has to be twinned with a party that night.

Well, $74.50 later, I got my ticket. Pricey. :/

This better be the best damn show I'll ever go to, at that price.

Yeah, that was an expensive birthday present for myself.

But, first time in a decade, isn't it?

$11.25 "convenience" fee? Jesus christ this is getting ridiculous. $75 is quite a bi tof money, and more money than I've ever paid to see a single act, but I've been waiting to see Daft Punk for a long time.

This show better be good.

Tiestor costs that much for a regular price ticket :P

hmmm...

$75 eh? Tempting, but I dunno...hopefully it doesn't sell out anytime soon

Yeah. Fuck.

The things we do for acts that we REALLY want to see.

I am kind of thinking the same thing. I don't know if I really want to see Daft Punk that much, especially having to travel all the way to Mississauga too.

I may have done a stupid thing since most likely I'll be working near Algonquin park again this summer and it's a sunday show and I just bought 2 tix.

But Daft Punk... I'll move heaven and earth to see them live!

I know absolutely no one who lives in Mississauga, so the cost of getting there would be added onto an already expensive ticket & add the flight out there lol don't think it's worth it.

This is not a good sign... everyone is expecting so much, that we're bound to get disappointed. Both due to the price and their Coachella set. I hope Daft Punk put on a stellar show.
