aaaah i think thats all i can remember lol

Good news/bad news. That was actually me that dropped that as my opening track, but the bad news is that the song was an edit I made. It was an acapella I threw in to the original track, and I chopped it up to repeat "ecstasy" over and over.

But on that note, I just want to give a massive thank you to everyone involved in throwing this event, and everyone that showed up to support all the DJ's last night. I know I am not that well known yet in the Toronto circuit, but I do appreciate everyone that came to the Lounge to listen. Thank you all again, and hope to see you all out again soon!

The decor looks awesome!

Posted by CAKE on Mar-19-2007 14:08:

Wow what a great night ..... i'm not the biggest fan of the docks but i was really impressed with the set up / decor it was awesome. I know the palm trees were because of it's the WMC pre party but it really added to tribal feel as well for me :P Started the night off in the liberation lounge for Jeff Button and Kevin Harcourt great set guys it was the perfect way to start off a good night. Then headed to the main room to catch the rest of Sean Millers set, Sean defiantly brought back memories of Sonic with wikkid some tracks the only problem i had was i think the bass was too high or the sound system is shit cuz a lot of his tracks sounded a lil distorted but as soon as Chus and Ceballos got on it was fixed and the sound was truly Tribalicious What can i say about Chus and Ceballos but WOW!!!!! I can honestly say i have never seen such a good vibe at the docks ever! the place went totally bonkers when they got on ! It's probably because it's only my second time seeing Chus and Ceballos but i was really impressed with their set, they had a great track selection and they worked the crowd really well, if only we were back at sonic they probably would have stopped playing till like 12pm :P
This was also my first time seeing DJ Vibe, don't get me wrong he played a great set but IMO it was nothing overly exiting i think Chus and Ceballos really drained the crowed and the Docks really lost that great vibe it had before in sure it had a lot to do with people being on the way down not up. But over all i would love to see him again as a headliner when he has the crowds full energy and attention.
This was defiantly one of my fav parties at the Docks ever! I was in total wonder mode all night so i had the pleasure of hanging out with most of you and even met a few new TA's, seriously it's cuz of you guys that i like to come to Toronto so much i don't think i have ever known such a good group of party people <3.

it's not very often that i go out, and can't think of a single negative thing about the night. but this night was definately one of them. everything was perfect. the music, the vibe, the people, the layout, everything.

got there fairly early, with only about a 10 minute wait in line. i have learned from previous dock's experiences that their coat check is a nightmare... so, i dealt with the cold for the 10 minutes, and i'm glad i did after hearing about the coat check issues again this time.

spent the first part of the evening in the lounge listening to jeff & kevin. good job guys. i'm looking forward to hearing a proper prime time slot from you jeff at o lounge next month. and you better bring me a copy of your set from sonic's closing!

c&c delivered as always. i have never been disappointed by these guys. i expected good things from dj vibe, and he surpassed my expectations. started a little slow, but it was a perfect build up to the crazyness that he threw down around 6. it just kept getting better and better. andrea and i were ready to leave by 6, but couldn't drag ourselves away. ended up staying until about 7:15.

overall, a great night! i love the fact that as everybody goes on with their lives, and partying starts to become few and far between, you can always count on the same group of people to show up at a c&c show. no matter where it is. the vibe on saturday was no different then anywhere else i have seen them.

i didn't take too many pics, but here they are:

Vibe came on a little late (apparently he was pretty wiped from his gig the night before, and slept through his wake-up call - lol). But he picked up where C & C left off, and set the crowd into a frenzy. I was totally spent around 6am, which is a shame since he started playing his best just as I left.

How the F*CK did I not see you???? My shift at the cash finished about 5, out of the office by 5:30 wondering around looking for you, Lizard and my bro, found Carey on Stage, but not you and my lizard. Where were you????

Anyways, sorry I missed your set Jeff and Kev, but duty called. I heard the liberation lounge was mental though. I didn't really get to hear any of C&C's set due to being in the chamber of hell. All I could hear in the ticket booth of retarted bass, and vibrating glass. I did although catch my fav tune of all time on my way back from a smoke. I only caught a lil bit of Vibe's set, I was just too tired to stick around. The tunes that I did hear though kept me moving.

The place looked fantastic and it was good seeing so many TAs at this event. It was also good to have Sean Miller back in TO, been way to long.

An special mention goes out to Shanny, babe you are awesome. Your offer of pizza came at the perfect time, I was so so hungry. I now know who to go to when I am starving at a party.

Awesome Night! Sorry I had to boogie so early, but I still had a great time partying with everyone. Chus & Ceballos definetly had some dirty basslines and towards the end of their set, even sounded a bit tranzy. Didn't catch anything of Vibe really, but I'm sure there will be another time.

Thanks to everyone for wishing me happy B-day... I'd name everyone but I'll forget someone and feel bad. Nice meeting Jeff Button (pretty sure the only person I met for the first time) and thanks again for putting me on the guestlist. Was definetly a great alternative to Booka shade's unfortunate late show.

Gawd, not this shit again. That party had more than enough room for all the crews that wanted to be part of it. The car wash crew made up less than a quarter of the people that night. If you didnt want to dance with shirtless guys, you certainly didnt have to.

Unless of course gay people arent at all welcome at these events, which is fine but I seriously doubt that Chus and Ceballos would be in Toronto near as often without the support of the so-called CW crew.

haha oh man, i never pertained to anything of the sort that gay people should be allowed at these parties I have tons of gay friends, they just keep their shirts on and let people go by and dont rub up against them all sweaty like. I would have deemed the car wash crew to be all the topless women too but alas there was none. I know its hot but wear a beater or something. Take a break when you get to hot.
