I'm by no means a PVD fan, but I never really understood why is Reflections considered so cheesy... There are probably two possible options. One being the fact that I never really payed too much attention to his older works (45 RPM, Seven Ways, Out There And Back) and the other being the fact that Reflections was one of very first albums I listened to when I started listening to real trance, when I "advanced" from commercial eurodance crap (Scooter and similar garbage from Viva and MTV). Probably both, but oh well. Crush and Like A Friend will always have a sentimental value to me.
Oh, and I'm not expecting much from this either. The Other Side didn't quite impress me and since I dislike today's trance and am not listening to it anymore, I think my (lack of good) expectation is rather justified.

4th. If you wanna bash on pvd and his productions, maybe because you want to start an argument, or because simply you dont like them, thats fine with me, i really dont give two craps, but be mature enough to respect other peoples opinions as well without being a close minded baby and appealing to insults.

I find it hilarious that you write this after this:

"2nd. Just because your mom doesnt give you enough attention, or your 6th grade girlfriend broke up with you, that doesnt give you any right to call me ignorant, sinse you dont even know me. Clearly you are no older than....12."

No more comments. you just killed your own arguments and saved me a much longer reply. thanks

I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

What i find laughable is the fact that you think im just going to take crap from you even though this is only an online forum. Its kind of cute actually.

your memory fails you. I wasn't the one who got moms and girlfriends involved in a discussion about an album

the only thing that sucks is your limited vocabulary. I wish you could argue better. I would love to argue with a really passionate PvD fan. Not someone who just discovered a newfound God yesterday.

the truth that you are a miserable human being?

or the truth that you are so obsessed with PVD that you will go entirely out of your way to bash any of his latest work, with such a skewed perception on anything he has done or lent his name to since he "let you down."

If either one of those is true, then indeed, the truth does hurt.

I love how the PvD fans a few years ago here at TA bashed Tiesto and called him sellout both for his nr 1 spot at the DJ Mag and his popish tunes. They hailed PvD and said that he would never sell out. Why? "Because he is one of the trance pioneers!"
Now history repeats itself.

And how exactly could you back up the fact that i have no vocabulary, and yes that may be true since i have only spoken the language for 3 years now, i dont see how that concerns you. Are you assuming you are some sort of lawyer, I could argue better? Elementary school language teacher perhaps?

Dudes, relax.

The whole trance scene has changed alot since going out on a high around the millenium.

Just look how we got from Binary Finary to Anjunabeats. Be happy for the occasional song that connects ya to the old times and rest assured there will be at least one like that on this album.

I've been achin for a sound like Out There And Back again. Of the two most recent CD's ive bought from him Global is good especially while watching the DVD, but of course its all his older tracks and Politics of Dancing 2 was just a compilation of the months top 20. Its not that Reflections was bad, it just fell fall short of what he can do with the potential we have seen from the past. He has been my favorite dance artist from the beginning, but if this latest album fails to deliver, that might just change.

judjin by his latest remixes/tunes hes released this album looks promising!

An idea of what the theme for the album artwork might be like:

Never expect to see him wearing wifebeaters, lol.

Looks pretty smoking in the second one.

Posted by kingchinc on Apr-07-2007 03:27:

yeah pvd in a wifebeater, that would prob be a crazy set...of all the performances ive been to, he only throws down dirty when he is in a t-shirt, when he is in a button-down, its mediocre.

He's not THAT skinny, really. He's still got a good amount of beef of him.

I'm eager to know how you judge an album before you've heard it

RebeL9 logic = the more unknown the music artist / track, the better it is (unless it's digital blonde).

Because everything you ever say on these boards is the truth.

Did he say this in the article? I happened to be at that set...

PVD and Tiesto are over rated peice of shit! AVB for 2007!

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Apr-08-2007 23:26:

Y'know, I have to take a rap every time I claim I'm a PVD fan because I get associated with the kind of fucking idiot you see in this thread.

Compared to how good he used to be, PVD has been piss-poor for almost five years now. I'd love to see another Seven Ways, but I somehow doubt it'll happen.

+1 what the fuck was he thinking doing that photo shoot for Vanity Fair? I think he sank even lower than Tiesto with that one, and that is quite an achievement.

I love PvD from back in the Seven Ways and Out There and Back days, but I doubt I'll ever hear another production like those from him. But I'll sure love to see myself proved wrong!
