Everyone knows that Sasha and Digweed dont give a shit anymore. They never bring it Miami, last years set at Space was the all time worse. And judging by what my friends all said about this one it sucked too and they love those guys.

A lot of the people in this thread need to step back and remember that the reviews are all based off of personal opinions. Just because one person liked it and you didn't or vice versa doesn't mean you need to bust a nut over it. Grow up.

this track is fucking huge, they dropped it on NYE as well

i seriously get goosebumps watching this shit, that light strobing over digweeed is fuckin money.

Posted by Cool1g on Mar-28-2007 03:12:

i think from reading the threads most people thought Sasha was great and Digweed below par. something else to remember....'only' a $50 cover, even for people without presales. Also, while there's not a lot of room to dance if you don't have a table, plenty of people went to Space and never got to even see the DJ they wanted to (Sander, Morillo, etc.) because they couldn't get in the rooms they were playing in. No one had that problem at Mansion for S&D.

Mansion does not strive to be the 'best' club out there in terms of sound/amount of area to dance, etc.. most people know this ahead of time - you can't really hate on the event if you know ahead of time how the venue is situated...

Thumbs down

Just the video above proves that nothing major was missed if you weren't there. John's been playing the same tracks for a while, and has not put together a good set with them yet. I saw John in LA and NOLA for his Diamonds tour, and LA is the best place to see him. John and Sasha (honestly) are over American clubbers and pretty much the whole American way. If it wasn't for big paychecks, they would not be here.

A lot of places are over the new sound they are trying to capture, there is no vibe between the two, and there will never be a steady vibe between the two ever again. But like Oakenfold, the names will always pack a club (or in this case an Ultrabar) Face it, Twilo days, Renaissance days, and Delta Heavy days are long gone.

Sasha is just gonna concentrate on his mixes (Involver 2) and John with Transitions. They have done it all and are getting old and bored of it.

If you want a memorable night with SnD, call some friends over, turn out all the lights, and turn on Northern Exposure.

Me and other twilo headz who have been there for them all confirmed at space last march on that monday morning that what we were hearing was an old school pre 99' mid fuck by the king of mind fucks sasha. If your opinion on that night ( THE INSIDE SET NOT THE OUTSIDE SET WHICH SUCKED BALLZ AND WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT ) ... if your opinion on the inside set from him was that it was bad then your opinion means you do not like the good sasha we all drool for....

Very true,i used to like S. D so dont think im hating on them in general just there past parties that i felt lacked energy and direction.Digweed last WMC was good on the terrace not great.Lee opened up for Diggers and in my opininion he dropped it way nastier because i had herd every track that Dig's dropped and thought egh.
Also i dont go to a club to watch a dj i dont care if hes standing on his head.I go to listen to the music, not oggle the dj like id never seen someone spin before. They are great dj's but not really anything special to watch.I mean my opininon was shared by alot more than me if you read the review from there set from last WMC they cleared Space out,i've never seen that except for Donald Glaude in September. So take it or leave it i give them props for being great djs and catalysts for our music but to say that there last 2 WMC sets have been really good in comparison to there sets from 3 years ago is crazy.

This, among a ton of other posts in here, is a joke. These guys are one of the best damned djs on the planet and because they prove to be human by showing a bad performance, by your standards, they get remarks such as these? Yeah, that is really fair. The reality of it is, these guys have been doing this for years and are still one of the very best. I dunno, for some reason I think they still "care".

twilolites what ups! hehe

i was praying for trisco muzak but i admit there were a BUNCH of old school tracks at mansion this year...it almost brought me back to the twilo days....i had so much fun at mansion even though the sound was subpar and the venue layout was awkward...

but i'm sure none of these kids knows what an awkward layout is since they've never seen twilo's layout with the freaking metal struts holding up the ceiling around the main floor or know what it feels like to have the floor bend under your feet cuz everyone is jumping...god i miss that club...rip twilo

Whoever said the crowd wasn't into it needs to take a look at how many hands were in the air at the end of that video.

That was the first track....... watch video from the middle and end.

i can promise you that wasn't the first track of the night because my girl didn't get into mansion until 3am and she's the one who took that video. and s&d were on before 3am...

i haven't seen the other videos that you're referring to, i'm just stating the facts about the video that i posted...

Posted by llavoe on Mar-28-2007 19:23:

sorry first track was pryda - armed. He played this track about 90 min in, and really was not anything special. The crowd's going nuts because they finally heard something good out of the crap set he played to start. Digweed was really on in Vegas, and in LA. By the time he got to the conference, he must've been beat from his tour. I was going to trek up to Pacha, but I am going to refrain after seeing him already do what he came to do in the states.

That's the remix of Nathan Fake. As a Digweed fan myself, I can safely say that he wouldn't play that unless it's towards the end of his set. Look at all of the people with their hands in the air, and the girls on top of the guys shoulders. Obviously the crowd loved it. Just because you didn't enjoy it doesn't mean others didn't.

Eh, whatever. This is pointless, I'm out.

Anyone know what track is playing?

Posted by deprivation on Mar-29-2007 12:25:

Nathan Fake - Outhouse(Valentino Kanzyani remix). You can download on Beatport or hear it on their Ultra set. Btw, Pryda - Armed is the second track on that Ultra set. It starts about 2 minutes into the set.

Posted by EarnYourKeep on Mar-29-2007 12:53:

you know what, honestly this set pretty much reminded me of the countless nights i spent at twilo, years on years, this is how they played out in nyc, how they started out. digweed ALWAYS starts out slow, when its a s&d night, it's always a build of progression. i got in at 1230, it was slow as fuck but i didn't care i was too busy getting drunk, walking around you know warming up to the party. then come around 130ish sasha came on and it still was slow about 5 tracks into his set, i was perfectly fine with that, it didn't really bang out until like 230ish and thats straight through till 6am. thats exactly how it was at twilo. people expect bangers right off the bat, s&d were NEVER like that, the only exception set i've heard them bang out early was delta heavy at miami arena and digweed started off really dark and hard.

i absolutely loved mansions set, it was everything i expected out of them. i'm guessing those who did not have a good time were expecting tracks like xpander and shit, to tell you the truth, those 'popular' tracks by s&d aren't really their forte.

i would have died if sasha dropped trisco muzak and digweed dropped pa dida, those were the only two i wished would have completed a nigth of perfection

I dunno what twilo you went to, but Digweed never started it slower than 126 bpm (not 120 or 119 minimal garbage)

I am not going to beat a dead horse but, maybe some tracks reminded you of Twilo and that's great... But SnD do not have that same flow anymore. The set at Mansion had no direction, and no vibe. Just like last year @ Space, there is no feeling in most of their sets anymore. Forget about hearing Xpander and shit like that, Sasha doesn't really search for tracks that hard anymore, he just puts them in Live and mashes them. As for Digweed, he gets way too much music to be playing the same intro track in 4 different cites on the same tour. That was not done on the Delta Heavy or GU 19 tours...
