my personal view since 01-02, naturally it seems like the production scale is declining. there seems to be more scrutiny surrounding this week then from my past experiences. Although geniunely easy and going, it still seems like there is a push of evolution to these events. Event planners trying to make it better from prior years also seem to find themselves watched over much more by local authorities.

I guess once the mass appeal hits, the city of miami had to do something about this week and the crimes surrounding it. i really think ultra and wmc week in sobe has taken a rapid spiral down since prior years, one big ticket for me was when ultra moved their party, nothing is more epic then the amphitheater...

I couldn't have said it better myself man.Rizzo ans Neil you guys understand.It takes someone who isnt a bitch to get it.I like everyone else has had negatives but there is nothing else like WMC anywhere.You can right that down becaus ethe few big name dj's that i do know will all tell you the same thing.

Till 08,keep the bitching coming because i like the stupidity.It makes you wonder why do you people come if you dont like long lines at a club (hmm).Also KIdnyce still talks about Ultra and that's a mark of him not having any idea whats up.Ultra was highschool,however i do agree on one thing mr.Kidnyce said though,the ampitheather was way better but even if it came back im not going.

Also since you arn't from here i think i should tell you that Ultra is a giant drug sting,thats why Miami lets them have it there.They take down some major players at Ultra.

I talk up Miami's party scene every week as you can see.So nothing happens here except on WMC??Sounds funny.Your a good name dropper because i just met Vtech during WMc and he's cool but he doesn't know me.So give me another refrence, buddy.

I go to parties to hangout with my friends if i get some chick on the way so be it.Thats not what im about, i like the music.PERIOD.Vtech has been awesome and he,s cool as hell its a shame you have to name people to justify your cause. Remember you came to Miami and complained, and thats cool thats your opininon but i dont go to NY and cry about waiting in line at your biggest club.

Anyways, this year was tremendous fun for me and my friends who all agreed on it being worth the time and effort.I feel sorry for anyone that had problems with WMC.This was my sixth WMC and the most fun.I wouldn't have gone all these times if i didn't.I gave my opininons on the parties that i went to as has everyone else and i feel that everyone even Kidnyce is entitled to they're take on the WMC.Someone telling you that everything isn't as good as it used to be and "all parties are hot"lives in the past and thats not what EDM is about it's about the present.It's all what you make of things i guess,it all looks diffrent from the eye of the beholder.

I will continue to support my scene in Sfl because no matter what tourists say, "it's pretty fuckin good".

The proper question is:

Anyone else get the feeling that no matter how much a couple of people whine, bitch and moan about WMC that it will still be back in full force and effect?

I'm getting this funny feeling, right between my legs, that it will be great next year and I'll be back.

i think this was my 6th WMC - kinda lost count. while its lost a bit of the wonderment and excitement of the 1st 2 times i went and being blown away by the # of events and DJs, etc., i still love going.

i had a blast at pretty much every event i went to. i did have a problem at Space for the Morillo night and never even got to see him play due to the fire marshall - sucks but i'll see him twice in May anyway

parties we hit that kicked ass:

Dubfire at Mynt (open bar was great especially with the SoBe drink prices. actually left before Dubfire came on to leave for Space/Morillo but did see Fancuilli and Cedric play)
Wet Grooves at Opium (a bit sparsly attented but knew a lot of LA people there so fun for an afternoon party)
Sasha and Digweed at Mansion
DT at Twilo
BBC1 at Surfcomber
Swedish House Mafia at Ink
FMIF at Cameo
Cedric at Mynt
free events at Remix Hotel

This was my 3rd WMC and my last for a wile. It is time for me to do something and experince something different.
I think WMC has lost some of its purpose.....

So my birthday present to myself this year is to get my passport and travel over seas

Dude, completely shutting down WMC in Miami? Not going to happen...I saw how much money is at stake with tourism, dining out, shopping and the Hotels. I know they make probably 100's millions if not billions that come in for the Miami Economy Money machine.

I know where your coming from and can see that there is going to be problems in the future with WMC, with all the new condo high rises going up downtown. The rich living downtown will not tolerate music 24-7 for a week straight. So unless the Fire Marshalls and police can be bribed down there, I don't see the situation getting any better.

This was my first WMC and ultra experience, I did have alot of fun and a great time and meeting new people, I am glad I did not get caught up in the drama. I do not like to dwell in the negative because that is just not me and it is counter productive. If there are complaints I certainly feel that those involved in organizing these events should know and listen to others about it to make things a little better.

I thought WMC is for everyone to come together and and enjoy all genres of MUSIC, because in the end that is what its all about, isn't it?

Yes I am mostly a tranceaddict, but you know some of the best sets that I saw were in fact, HOUSE music, especially for ULTRA. The Carl Cox Tent sets had more of an impression on me then any others I saw there. I went down there this year with an open mind and had a great time, just wish I would've brought an umbrella, LOL.

With all the effort I put forth into this year's trip, I doubt I will go next year. You only live once, so why spend money on something you have done 4-5times in a row? Why not go overseas? Eurotrip anyone?

I doubt I will go to WMC next year, because I am truly saving up for a trip overseas. Perhaps I will see you there Sweetcandy Girl!

WMC is the largest and finest EDM gathering in America BY FAR. What else is there? Some fucking parade in CA? Yet all I hear is... WMC sucks this, WMC used to be better that, its getting rediculous.

Hopefully its everyone coming down from a week of drug use.
