Oh ok. I didn't know the first track was part of their set, I thought it was the DJ before them.

That's what I thought...the mix into Armed was pretty janky

Heh, 1200 ppl there seemed to LOVE the fact he opened with it

Both sound like absolute shit in my opinion. I think Pryda should be the definition of samey.

Posted by TranceArmstrong on Apr-25-2007 20:48:

like armed but it doesnt really go anywhere, its good but too long. i'd play it for sure, just maybe mix out early or something.

neither are as good as remember / frankfurt IMO

Posted by nsamadi on Apr-25-2007 21:33:

It's repetitive and a little dull....same signature beat over and over again...like most Pryda tunes....I can only really see it being a good opener...thats about it.

BTW...in regards to the Sasha & Diggers set at Ultra....Its the second track thought the first track only goes for about a minute...and I think that track was played by Diggers...Eric Moriello was scheduled to play before but he got stuck in traffic so Diggers had to cover and play an extended mix....so I think Digweed dropped that tune.

both are fucking tunes!

Vinyl & Digital Download will become available tommorow, according to Ericprydz.com

I myself am looking forward to having a 12" copy, however, I Don't know how long it will be until it's available here in my area.

Digweed uses it right. It ccan be filler, but if you set it up right its a peaktime bomb imo

Digweed opened his set here in Bratislava with it last Monday night. The crowd twiddled their thumbs for 3 minutes, waiting for any type of beat to come in, while, underneath the mop of hair Digweed has on his head, he stood there looking down playing with the mixer.

Great opening...

I wanted to come but in the end I unfortunately couldn't; how was the show overall? So far I've heard people saying Diggers was extremely boring, I don't believe that.

Armed is growing on me

He opened with armed here in Estonia too. It was pretty much how the poster before you described 3 min intro with digweed pretending to work hard on the mixer However when the beats kicked in the crowd went nuts..

His set wasnt too good tbh.. Of course it had its moments but overall the tunes that he played were very repetitive and similar to each other. The set had no real progression towards something. Dont get me wrong - it was still a great party, but I expected a helluva lot more from Digweed (after all that hype)

Same as Thunderbird in Estonia... the Bratislava show was quite boring to be honest.

The lighting was top quality though, the stage & venue, was a former communist social club/hall so that was errr OK.

Maximum 1000 peope showed up so it was very empty. I think they were expecting about twice that, Considering they had advertised this show on full-size billboards all over town for 2-3 months, and with a separate hall also kitted out with lights & video wall from the main room, but without anyone in it!

VIP ticket was supposed to gain entry and free drinks all night, and i saw quite a few people get shirty in the VIP when they found they had to pay for any drink etc. Typical organisation for around here i'm sure you know

Diggers - came and played 3hrs flat. Flat being the keyword. It never went anywhere. It was about 127 bpm too, which i would've preferred it around 130-133. Even some of the tracks i recognised sounded shite, cos they were too slow.

I expected a lot more variety in styles in the way he played, but he just looked down, and mixed perfectly 3hrs of dark proggy tech-house, and then went. I was waiting for some new quirky 'minimal' or electro styled track to wet my appetite for the night, but it never happened, each mix was sequenced perfectly, but it just never had any lift.

Tunes i remember the most were The Chems - Do It Again (Huntemann Remix) played in the first hour, which went right off, and had to have a lil' laugh at about 03:00 with 30 mins left he tried to pick it back up again by dropping Nathan Fake - Outhouse (Kanzyani Remix)... by that time though, a lot of people had left, or disinterested in the music thanks to the set-progression, and had retreated to the bars and seating areas in the gallery.

Haverlik playing the warm up was a better constructed (more interesting) set, despite being older tunes and laptop mixed.

Thanks for the reviews, guys. Looks like I didn't miss much then. Although I really like the tunes Digweed spins these days, I would have probably gotten bored because of that lack of proggresion you both describe.

Anyway, I think I won't pass the Sasha gig at Bratislava, hopefully more people will show up this time.

Posted by MichaelBoogerd! on May-04-2007 10:07:

The timing was a bit fishy for Diggers... Many people (of partying age) would have gone home for a long weekend with Tuesday being a bank holiday.

Sasha should be a lot better indeed!

These tracks are absolutely amazing. Lil'bit monotony but fukkin' great!

Digweed doesn't play them 'too slow', other people just play them too fast

Indeed. Those tracks shouldn't be played faster than 128 bpm IMO... 127 bpm fits just perfectly if u ask me.

Paolo Mojo did a pretty good job of that. I believe it was a little over an hour into his set. Worked great.

Does anyone know if there are digital versions available yet?
