nope. i dont even have to look at the dj and id have a blast. do you honestly need someone to tell you how to have a good time?

For me if the music is good enought, ill be dancing with my eyes closed anyway.

Digweed, and even Moby from this weekend are the best examples of interaction not mattering. They are into the music, and you can tell, but do they get the crowd hyped, no way.

If the DJ is boring to watch, why not making a connection with the people in the crowd, your friends, a random stranger? You are there to share in a collective experience, soak it up.

I am not saying, I like boring DJs, I am just saying, since you made the effort to go out, why not try and enjoy the other aspects of the event.

Well both would be the best thing, but if I had to choose one, it's definitely the music. good music = good times.

I prefer amazingly easy women so that I don't have to pay for sex, again. Music and dj is irrelevant.

I don't mind it if they can do both at the same time, the job of DJing comes first!

+1

its a dj set, not a concert. i could care less what the DJ does (other than playing good music)

there should be more "concert" in night clubs and dj shows. Music first, cause if the beats aren't to my liking, I'll leave. But I want a fucking pink floyd light show, with crazy antics on stage. Entertain me!!! thats why I'm leaving my house. I could listen to the same dj's set in my bedroom....but I go out to be entertained.

I wish I went to the justice party at mod club.

here's a review from tribe.ca
http://www.tribemagazine.com/board/...ad.php?t=132075

"so silly, so fun, so awesome.
Stayed in the upper balcony for the most part, best view of the stage antics.
Great performers, on decks and off. I have never seen a DJ crowd surf in Toronto before. And the icecream jacket Busy P. had on! Where can I get one of those! Tracks and remixes that will have me scouring beatport for months.
Came down a few times to try and get pics, and join the maddest crowd I've seen since Tarrence Parkers Birthday set at System like a billion years ago. Dancing gave way to just frantic pogo. Everyone was totally in to it that I saw.
This was one of the best parties in the last few years."

i like the interactions diffently......
like a few weeks a go at Lawler at TiL.... he played a killer set but didnt interact....
even if he interacted a lil it would have been 10X better......

Crowd Interaction is very important, but amazing songs is better. When Junkie XL was at Ultra Spin he spent more time dancing around on the stage than playing good tracks. I was bored out of my skull.

Djs are DJs. Not fucking clowns on decks.
(Though Cribby might disagree)

music is definetely the most important, if the DJ is boring me musically I don't care what they are doing charisma wise...

that being said, I do like to see that the DJ is paying attention...Max Graham is one of my favourite dj's, but i remember seeing him at System Soundbar a few years ago and he spent almost the entire time talking and slapping hands with people in the back of the booth, returning only to change the track once in awhile. The music was amazing, as Graham has never let me down musically, but I found it disappointing when I looked up to see him with his back to me yakking away.

I saw him at Ultra Spin 12 this year and he wasn't doing any of that, I enjoyed it much more. I saw Jelo in the Gallery as well, and he was going crazy...mixes were dead on and it pumps me up to see him so into it.
