going multiple days without my add medication when i have a 20 page paper to write on a hypothesis of applying the mechanisms of sleep paralysis as an alternative to general anesthesia for high risk patients

im so glad i never got into the fad of taking adyral (or however the fuck you spell it) i know that it helps the people that need it but for those that dont man up do your work or smoke weed

but I actually do need it, and im on ritalin....but i accidently knocked about 20 down the drain a while back so im out...and since its a "controled substance" because so many people abuse it...cant get any more till the 23rd.

Well, allow me to play devil's advocate here (quoting one of my favorite philosophy teachers, haha, you gotta say it in a really weeded out voice). Adderall, Ritalin and other drugs of their ilk are indeed just drugs for those who don't need them. HOWEVER, I would much prefer that someone use one of those than coke! Coke's addictive, and because it's illegal, it can be contaminated and possibly lethal. Adderall and Ritalin are only mildly addictive (if at all), and they're legal so you always know what you're getting.

Of course, I don't advocate regular abuse of these drugs for studying. I agree that they're an easy shortcut for those who don't bother to do their work and need to cram for exams. HOWEVER, I do think they're effective and safe recreational drugs, and using them to study has its merits.

Ooo I wonder if that was aimed at me.... Although luckily for me, whether I snort 15 Ritalins a day or have never done any of the above drugs and just know people who do, my opinion isn't invalidated just because of my experiences. That's a circumstantial ad hominem fallacy.

It pisses me off more when someone tells a JOKE and forgets the punch line after he/she has spent 15 minutes telling the damn thing...

Lots of things piss me off but two come to mind - like when my one hitter falls over and gets shit on the sofa and when I'm madly in love and say stupid things. Some of you might relate to this...

I'm prescribed ritalin, and trust me. It's as addictive as anything else. It's a prescribed dependency for me, sadly. I do have pretty fuckin bad ADD, and cant get work done without it to begin with, but when i run out, i go a bit bonkers for a few days.
