Loved 28 Days Later, this film has all the potential to be fantastic but horror sequels usually dinnae cut the mustard. We shall see.

I personally thought it was great, the girl I saw it with.. she turned her head 90% of the time. How? She watched Saw and Hostel..

i never heard hype for it.. i could only find it in 1 movie theater in atlanta.....

there really wasnt that much hype

Thought this follow up was great actually. I knew that like Saw or most other horror flick follow ups mentioned here that there will be some kind of twist that will some how help you appreciate the next movie.

Some good directing in this movie as well, especially the scene where everyone is trapped underground and the disease spreads with everyone screaming. Good mind fuck scene, I wish they had more of that.

That's been explained since the first film, as I recall it, when they said that the virus had spread to other countries because of mass transportation.

The son was a carrier, like his mom, once they touched down in frog countreh, shizzle hit le fan.

Posted by Amduscias on Jun-03-2007 17:02:

she didn't know anything about her mom :/
i think she just said it to console him, get him airlifted and hopefully find a doctor to cure him

The thing I don't get: why didn't the chopper head to the US Navy which would have been right there anyway? There's no way the US would have a huge military operation like that and not involve the Navy, I mean, how do you think the troops got there in the first place?

And the American army would've never let those kids go across the bridge anyway... They probably would've shot them in the face right there.

:/ it's not right to shoot a kid, especially when there are surveillance cameras all over. It's bad press

Seen it a while ago. Superb movie, but not as thrilling as 28 Days Later. Robert Carlyle was pretty good in it. Still better than the RE Series though.

PS. Apparently there is a nee Resident Evil movie called Extinction out shortly.

Although I've wandered around during world cup matches, and Brasília looks exactly that way

Lol it's like that over here when the World Cup on of course though apart from when England lose and there is near riot situations plenty of police sirens wailing in the distance.

Absolutely. That made the movie worth seeing, in and of itself.

It was a fantastic way to build up the atmosphere and it certainly works. When he finds all the newspapers and the letters up the board from people trying to trackdown their family and friends it adds to the serious confusion and panic Cillain Murphys chracter must be experiencing.

good sequel..although the ending could have been build up much better.

They could both have it without showing symptoms, but they could still transmit it, like the mom did to 'that crazy guy from trainspotting'

Posted by Fast Turtle on Jun-03-2007 23:22:

another thing, how do the infected identify the infected, too? because if the mother was carrying the virus and then the father got it and ate her... but the infected don't seem to really eat the infected (or the dead), they just bite uninfected people or spit blood on them

Good question that. There must be something within their bloodstream which gives off a certain 'vibe' that they are carrying the rage virus.

The infected don't try and eat them, but basically spread the seed if you would. As long as they infect the uninfected by transmitting then their job is pretty much done.
