Edit: I'm having a hard time believing the 32 number until I hear from other sources. 22-32 is a huge jump.

Kind of have to agree with BSE on this. How many times do we hear about a bombing in Baghdad that kills 20+ and we just shrug it off. In any case, it's a tragedy.

i'm not suggesting it is more sad or low then alot of serious world issues right now, i was thinking more along the lines of the new record "worst university shooting in US history" hence 'new low'

So far they say 22 dead & 28 injured and possibly four of the injured are in critical condition.

Hey guys, I'm student at VT and so far this is what I've gathered:

The shooter was a student from Radford, another university about 20 minutes away looking for his girlfriend. The first shooting happened about 600 feet from my dorm. Luckily everyone I have been able to contact is not hurt.

At about 10AM EST, he went into an academic building and killed over 30 people, some lined up execution style.

I slept through my first class so I never made it to class. I did talk to my friend who was in the class that I slept through. She said that they held the students in the building for a few hours and they could hear the gunshots.

What a horrible tragedy.
