| Originally posted by CODY JONES they make total sense if you ask me,people just have to read over your posts in this thread..your very first post you called rubez an idiot? did you or did you not? your posts are a childish and silly..i think you go around this site looking for attention off people.....the way you go about doing it,is by slagging off people.. what is wrong with the thread he started? do you run this site? what questions would you like people to ask in future so there will be no more fights? what gives you the rite to call him an idiot? |

| Originally posted by ASFSE well rubez is an idiot because a majority of his questions could have been answered by reading the stickies. in regards to ppl asking questions that will end the "fighting"...READ THE STICKIES....or use the SEARCH...and BE SPECIFIC. and "slagging off" people is fun dude, try it sometime. |

I agree that its aloud to post questions.. however, most of us that has been here for a while and shared our thoughts and experience has given most of our questions alot thought before posting. I mean these questions that this dude is asking is just pointless for him and irritating for the rest, cus the aswers are everywhere, and i mean EVERYWHERE. Give and THEN take, thats a good start. OR ask something that could actully be something to ask about. This is a forum, not the local EDM producer support! if you wanna learn, then read and do, and when you really really get stuck, google it first then ask! And that making as decent track takes most of the time years! And for us that have spend alot of time reading and reading and listening and learning by doing and reding more.. testing etc etc! And someone comes in and say like... how do i make a bassline... how do i make a lead... what is an equalizer...WTF!! you are just begging to be flamed... Cheers C |
this is better than trisha!!

| Originally posted by rubez i was reading the tutorial on synths. i gather from it that a lead synth sound is made from multiple frequencies (/or oscillators?) together bouncing off each at the same time at different pitches.(detuned?) (im using albino) can it create say 6 different frequencies at the same time, or do i need to load the same synth 6 times and adjust the pitch of them all and then layer them together? thanks |

As featured in the JP-8000.the waveshape was made by taking seven sawtooth waves and detuning them from each other very slightly. I dont know much about the synth you are talking about, but try Z3TA+, the JP is not difficult to emulate, but is difficult to emulate well. |

I find it puzzling how he's allowed to call me out but apparently I have no right to do the same. That Cody fellow seems to have some obsession over me anyway... it's a bit scary.
thanks Roberttodd. useful stuff there, least you arent stuck up enough to share what u know, instead of these useless pricks.. i did read the stickies, but other opinions, put differently and from their point of view are helpful.. stick to the topic or fuck the fuck up - your wasting EVERYBODIES time.. u just itch to jump in oooh n00b question.. big deal, do we honestly need to hear it?? i didnt realise this was a proffesional forum, where do the non-genuis questions go?
do u think u have seniority here or something? if i see a thread on here, which doesnt interest me, i leave it the fuck alone.. are u people trying on purpose to be arseholes? just like u dont want to hear my idiot questions, i dont want to hear your idiot fucking POINTLESS ramblings. i got what i wanted -in the end- from my question on this thread.. but did it need to span 6 pages??

u compare vanguard to a mustang? a mustang is a beast.. vanguard isnt a high end piece of kit like a mustang; its at the other end of the scale.
just to be clear: vanguard is cheap. its oversimplified. everything is presets. u cant manipulate it nearly half as much its 'rivals'. and it has a pretty gui for idiots like u to understand. no credible producer would shout about usuing this peice of shit. its even marketed as 'ideal for beginners'. the countless 'dance hits' made with vanguard come from knobhead bedroom producers. much like yourself.
Actually it is used by alot of ppl, ive heard its familiar distorted rasping tones on quite a few tracks.
And my friend who has done engineering for some well known names has used on a couple of tracks and it does sound awesome when used well.

Most of the old analogue synths that ppl rave about are simple beasts, but their secret is their sound of which a huge part is played by their osc's
Vanguard definitely has a sound that is unique among its peers, this is what makes it useful.
Most sounds you need when making a tune will be of the standard variety e.g saw lead, square bass etc. Your weird leads and effects might not be able to be made with vanguard but it doesn't matter. You use vanguard to make certain sounds not all the sounds in your tunes.

Who says something is a toy when countless top 10 tracks have been made from it? An idiot. People don't like to waste their time on idiots that won't listen. It's like having sand kicked in your face when you're trying to help; the forum is better off without them. Someone who acts like a know it all and starts controversy, when they obviously don't know shit, deserves to get cut down. And that is exactly what happened. |
because he asked a question you did'nt like?
