Use what you're most comfortable with.

I use Cubase and ProTools.

Sure..

This first track mixed and edited in Pro Tools. Saying Pro Tools isn't for EDM is like saying a mixing desk isn't for EDm. that said you can do just fine without either.. as Frq said, a DAW is a DAW. They're all tools, some are better than others at certain aspects.
