Ferry better BRING IT! He's becoming like Oakenfold playing the same old tunes in every set.

yeah he has...i think i can wait a yr (to pay) to see him again which is why im not going. i think ive been to every show since Oct 2004 including WMC and Ultra, then once in Miami June 2005, September 2005 (that was the Love Parade SF afterparty), NYC residency, and then Labour of Love 06 (which was a great set but he played the same tunes just about) up till his April gig...goddamns~

this could very well go for the other djs, stop playing OVERPLAYED tunes in ur sets...u know a tune is overplayed when its from 6 months to a 1 yr ago and there has DEF been quite a few. its tiring.

well at least at the last show he was mixing some crazy shit, ill commend him for that

have fun and congrats AGAIN to BIG MIKE!!!!~

^^actually I have to 10000% disagree about the Labour set.....I dont think he played ANYTHING like he usually does. He played very hard, pounding, and elecetro-ish, even more so than usual. Very different tracklisk than he usually plays, to the Nth degree! He played a looong set, and threw in some of the regular tunes but 90% of his set was amazingly different than his usual, and in a good way. I even remember some ferry favs like shay were commenting on his style that night! That was one of my fav sets of his!! I loved it!

(btw not totally disagreeing with you lyssa, I think you are right in that a lot of his sets are similar, I just remember the labour set being very different for a lot of people!)

Some of you should try and come out to support if you can. It's not just Ferry you know

Posted by southbound24 on May-31-2007 19:47:

im going just for Big Mike, as soon as he gets off I leave, just like that, door closes right on Ferry.

meh i think i just need a break from Ferry in general

regarding LOL, u may be right, although ive heard enough opinions to quite the contrary that you mentioned. but to each his or her own. some ppl did not like the LOL set. i think i may have missed the *different* part of his set cuz i just could NOT bring myself to leave Digweed in the main room and then i was dancing in other rooms for a lil bit. now that was a KILLER set that night (diggers)! I just HAD to close that shit. NO Question!!! anyway Diggers may be a poker face on the decks but he SOO throws down!!! <3333 i made Tom stay with me too that entire time, poor boy.

anyway i think when i finally got to Kool Haus, he threw down his regulars altho Beautiful was premiered that night - he also threw down Beautiful when in NYC following LOL i think).

Kelly, would you like to hear LEF and Junk back to back over and over again? I won't.

lol nope, I dont care for those toons as much!

I was agreeing that ferry plays a lot of the same toons, but I, and many other people felt that ferry had a long enough set @ labour (only talking bout labour here!) that he played a different selection (a lot harder and more electro). Thats the only set I was in disagreement with.

I do admit tho, ferry in ANY other city >>>>>> than ferry in nyc. I dont think he likes it here.... LOL ....like some other DJ I know.

Two songs I could hear everytime tho: galaxia and fire....dont care what people say I love hearing them live.

ahah actually i LOOOOOOVE LEF but yeah i dont want to hear it ALL the freakin time!!!~

i love Galaxia toooo~ <3 talk about injecting a BURST of energy and euphoria into the NIGHT!!! cant stop jumping to the entire song no matter what, ive killed my feet dozens of times as i recall then had to limp to the car later after the party ahahh

think i'm coming down with Irish and Lisaloo now.

work and school has screwed me out for both NF and the TO set. plus a roadtrip to NY beats both of those!

can't wait to see (some of) you!!! (and ferry)

i agree. his set at Labour-of-Love '06 was insane. a very unique set. that was the best set i've heard so far from Ferry, and i've seen him play in US & in Europe. His GUV performance at LOL was simply; amazing.

I also thought Ferry's set at LOL '06 was by far the best. Toronto I think is one of his favorite cities to play in and he LOVES the Guvernment.

Ferry in TO > Ferry in DC > Ferry in NYC
