Agree, there is only a few tracks worth it, like Rio Addicts new one (which I haven't heard but I am sure it will be released within the next 6 months) and that First State track. I agree, the rest is ASOT-pop garbage, not trance. It shouldn't be called "A State of Trance", more like "A State of Pop".

I believe Armin was asking for trance artists to submit their works to him for this album. It doesn't look like there was that many on the tracklist.

I'm glad to see the remake of I Am on there, but I'm shocked Megashira didn't make it (Yes its been out for a while, but its a big tune so far). And as for Ascent... idk... i thought 1 remake per release was enough (though it is more upbeat than A&B's )

Yes, he has. But unlike the ASOT 2006 yearmix CD, his track is not featured on ASOT 2007, that's why he thinks the tracklist is disappointing.

just curious to the tracks that i dont know yet, but as the other tracks concern, i think its disappointing, or at least not my cup of tea. The remix of why is aly & fila's weakest work i think and tracks like firefly and the anthem do nothing for me....

Disc 1 looks absolutely horrible with shit vocal tunes like 'Light The Skies' (really the worsest tune ever released on Armind. Disc 2 looks a bit better. Intersted in this First State tune, but in general nothing special. This double CD totally lacks of what I like nowadays: Tech Trance & Neo-Trance. This CDs are fully of shitty vocal progressive tunes. You c how worse Armins style is nowadays if you look at the label Armind. 1 year back it was the top trance label. Nowadays you r happy if there is 1 good release under 5.

And BTW DJ Shah is the moist overhyped artist of all. His tunes are all crap!!!!!
