the only thing i heard about it is pretty ridiculous, can't wait to see it... won't say what it is but kinda reminds me of that one scene in rocky iv! i'll be happy if it's as nicely done as the drink is.. and i'm sure they're putting a lot more effort into it than that

Maybe but they didn't tweak it at ALL, didn't maintain the sound, didn't keep things going. It was ALL bass, nothing else.

I'm super hyped about this as well, like spitty I've been going for 6 years as well. If the fix the sound issue, it will be wicked, nevermind what else they are currently setting up.

Can't say, I'm being watched now (not that I would REALLY say anything, the Guv's been my home for over 5 years, dammit!), and I won't pm either.

Now about the sound... it's always been about where you dance (as in any club).

hopefully they re-open by May 12th, sometimes it's delayed due to construction and what not. But yeah it would be good if it's a resident night, so there isn't too too much people coming.

That'd be SICK. Even another house room would be great too. Just get rid of the top 40 room (even though it's nice to drop your non-edm friends off there like it's a daycare centre )

since guv is pretty much one of our only clubs thats support strictly EDM they should get rid of the hip hip for sure.
They non edm'ers have all the other normal clubs to go to lol.

WE NEED MORE TRANCE :d

my only request would be keep the lasers, but no spotlights moving around the crowd or around the room like in Koolhaus, the more poorly lit, the more "underground" and appropriate for house music it feels (i knwo underground is sorta cliche, but couldnt think of a better adjective)

The daycare center is good because if you get an argument with your non-edm friends over where you are going that night, then Guv is actually a compromise because it has "something for everyone". Trance would be the ultimate though.. is there any other regular trance night in Toronto?

completely agree there too. The lasers are the best thing going in that room and is half the attraction (I can't stop staring at them when I'm high). Getting rid of the standard moving lights (even though I love how they are on moving truss) and adding more lasers would be a step in the right direction.

but when it comes to guv you usualy dont go there unless you love edm.
clubs like lot 332, fluid all those are the "something for everyone" clubs.

but sadly we dont have trance clubs

I agree with you in the end. The orange room is kind of a joke there. Right in the middle of everything and it's so out of place.

I find it so weird how there are so many places in Toronto that you can go to for house all night, but there isn't just one for trance. It's really quite tragic. I guess it makes it all that more special when big name trance dj's come to town and there are events like WEMF.

More Bass, More room, more lasers, more urinals (and toilets), and more cowbells!!

Are there even any clubs that do house and trance all night? Or is the closest thing District with Danny D, where you get house/trance + top 40
