I'm surprised that for all our supposed intelligence, humans are STILL pondering the same tired bullshit that we've been pondering since the dawn of our time. If we're so smart, how come we haven't moved on?

I, personally, am tired of people asking, "What is the meaning of life?" There is no meaning. We exist because over billions of years we randomly happened to evolve from a single-celled organism into what we are today. There is no purpose for us being here but we are anyways, so suck it up and deal with it.
I also agree with a lot of what has been previously said on how we should live our lives. Today being my birthday I look back at the last twenty years of my life. As a kid it seemed like twenty years-old was a long time off that would take eons to reach. When I usually hear someone talking about how it took twenty years for something to happen, or it was twenty years ago that they were doing X thing, it sounds like it was a long time ago. When I think about it, though, everything that I can remember during the last twenty years feels like it's happened yesterday. It's been a great twenty years, but I only have approximately four to five of those twenty year sets left.
So what am I going to do with "life?" Just have fun. Do what I enjoy doing, fulfill myself instead of trying to accomplish what expectations people may or may not have of me. I have no expectations because, to me, that's forcing myself to do what "everyone else is doing" and if I'm only going to be here for such a short period I want to do what the fuck I want. I also plan on visiting as many places across the world as I can (not necessarily soon, however). The Earth, when at least compared to humans, is fucking huge. There's so much out there and it'd be a shame to spend most of your life staying in your own little corner.
