i find that george carlin's comedy doesnt entertain me as much as pablo/stephen wright/etc... carlin just makes bitching about things funny, thats all he ever does.. 'let me tell you about xx and make you laugh how xxx off i am about it'

george bush jr, imo. that guy is pretty damn funny. every time he talks he makes me laugh.

for some Aussie humour, check out The Chaser's War on Everything. Not standup, but some of their gags are funny. Download episodes here. One of the guys went to court because of a gag he did last season (selling fake weapons at a rugby league match).
