yeah, i think in some ways i truly did feel/act older than i really was, mainly because i always wanted to be older... but you're right - looking back makes you realize you were just a smart-ass know-it-all little brat.

now that i'm older, i wish i had spent more time being a stupid young immature kid, instead of going out to bars with business-people when i was 16. i mean i still had fun, but i think a lot of the time i was trying so hard to be an adult, that i forgot how to be a kid.

Turning 25 was a huge turning point in my life as far as my maturity level goes and self awareness and all that shit.

I'm more immature in a silly/goofy kind of way.

LETS GO PLAY WITH LEGOS!

i'm all over the shop. some of my biggest crushes are in their 30s or late 20s but right now out of 4 ppl i like, 3 are 20-21 and 1 is older than me. I'm really not bothered although anyone 18-19 would be awkward maturity wise i think.

yeah age overall isnt a factor for me but if they are 18ish im really skeptical. and of course no under 18 girls. too risky here in the states and they are soo not what im looking for.

they have to be at least 21 (i'm 24) . i guess i prefer older, or similar in age. anything more than 3 years younger, and i just feel like i have nothing in common with.

Posted by wotyzoid on May-04-2007 19:14:

I've always gone out with girls older than me, always like 16 or 17, i can't stand young girls, they are just retarded.

I wonder whether my opinion is different due to culture: I'm 24 as well, but I really see no problem at all on dating girls that have had their 15th birthday already (as that's some kind of rite of passage around here). As I recall it, the law here says that 16 is the minimum legal age, also, which makes me wonder why that's one reason behind our difference.

My father, for example, started dating my mother when she turned 18, and he was 28 already... which is another example, I believe, of age difference being well tolerated here.

Edit: Typo

older but not too old either

im 21 so i guess max would be 24-25

then again maturity doesnt come necessarily with age , when i was 19 my bf of this time was 24 and incredibly immature

my current bf is 22 and he is one of the most mature person i've met so far

I've just realised what I wrote - he started dating my mother, not my girlfriend!

Yes, that's what happened - quick posting at work sucks because I don't really have much time to proof read what I wrote
