Hell yes Armin Van Buuren for 8hrs!!! I have been waiting for something like this for a long long time...

6hr set is the longest set I have heard from Armin and he left me wanting more so 8hrs will be just right!

Buying my tickets now.. $35 is a great price!

Actually I just plain don't give a shit about Armin most of the time. He plays music that I think is generally terrible. His "rise" hasn't diminished the careers of my favorite DJ's at all. So, I won't be attending this because, well, the lineup sucks for someone like me. I'm not into trance like I used to be. I still prefer Armin over Tiesto. Tiesto seems to think he's the second coming....

Last year's event had a killer line up... and this is a big time let down. I was looking forward to this, because last year was so damn hot it was hard to get into it.

Ease up buddy, it's one thing not liking Armin's music but bashing him is no good. Besides so much hatred is bad for your health!

I happen to know Armin personally and he's a very nice guy. He has just as much passion for DJ'ng as the names you've mentioned if not more. It's obvious you don't know much about Armin cause 8 hour sets isn't a new thing to him.

Hatred? Someone needs to brush up on their reading comprehension. I even thanked the man, for crying out loud! Just because I can't stand listening to his music, and agree with many other people that extended sets aren't his strong point, doesn't mean I harbor any ill will towards the man.

But that aside, the main point is that people have been looking forward for Giant Village since last summer. It really isn't cool that it's going to be a trance event. It doesn't cater to all crowds.

I have a feeling there will be a better event going on that same night , and luckily, all the teenager e-tards will be @ Armin.

I think this is the exact opposite of the truth. I know we all have different tastes in EDM, but I don't see how this point has any validity.

Exactly. I like different songs from different EDM genres and I don't understand why people feel it is necessary to restate their dislike for a particular one over and over again. Some people don't like trance and that is fine, but it's just a downer when people are posting negative comments about the DJ or music genre in a thread that was created by people who are excited and looking forward to it.

How else can someone rationalize their feelings of superiority?

That attitude is something I grew out of years and years ago. I'm not even bothered by teenage e-tards (just make your e-pile away from the dance floor please).

But I can understand the disappointment of Giant Village being trance only if you had been looking forward to hearing other stuff there.

The fact that some of us aren't into Armin's music (trance) is not the main point. The point is that a lot of people are going to be dissapointed that Giant Village is gonna be an Armin/trance night.
