At the TIC in 2005 the JBL Concerts were pretty sweet... Not sure if they'll use them again but they sounded good.
I got my VIP tickets. I'm looking forward to it. I didn't go to his last LA In Concert show in 2005 or last year's Avalon shows so it's been a while since I've seen him play. Should be a good time
what do you get with the VIP tickets and what is the differentiation with the prices as far as VIP goes?

Originally posted by trance_seeker Right now the difference in price is $45, but as the event gets closer the amount that the tickets go up is different ($5 increases for GA and a $50 and $25 for VIP) so the difference in price will be greater as well. Sorry for the all caps but I'm too lazy to retype it and this is how it's on the Ticketmaster site -> VIP SEPARATE ENTRANCE TO THE EVENT, ACCESS TO VIP AREA, OPEN VODKA BAR AND BEER ON TAP FOR 21 YEARS AND OLDER WITH ID, FREE REFRESHMENTS, ARTISTS GIVEAWAYS AND MORE. GA

Originally posted by AmericnWldChild Yeah I know it says that but does it mean that people who pay $100 get only a separate entrance, people who pay $150 get the vodka bar and so on? I'm sure they might try to pull something off like that. Last time I paid $200 and it wasn't worth it at all because we paid just for a backstage area that didn't have the TVs they advertised and the side stage was so far to the side that you could see under the main stage and you really couldn't see Tiesto at all. The people who paid for GA shared the same area as VIP and the bartenders were begging for tips in the VIP area... if its going to be like that again, I'll just get the regular tickets.
This is what the difference in ticket price means ... "the longer you procrastinate, the more it will cost you."
This has happened to everyone at some time or another: An event is announced and you're really not sure if you want to go. So, you don't buy tickets when they're cheaper.
As the event gets nearer, the price starts to go up too and now more people are talking about it and getting all in the "oooh, I can hardly wait!" mood.
You now end up getting all giddy yourself and want to go. So, because you procrastinated and blah, blah, blah... You are now going to be paying the higher price.

Only a dummy would pay $175.00 now.
Yes, you are presented with different levels, but Ticketmaster will not let you purchase any tickets above $100... NOT YET!!! Once the $100 tickets are sold, than you can buy the $125, and so forth. Same thing with the GA tickets.

Im saying tiesto is touring two types of shows for his new cd - both called elements of life tour though. One is a 3 hour set and the other is a 6 hour set with the full show from jes and others.
I havnt heard back if this would be a 6 hour gig from the guy or not. The 6 hour thing is composed of different sets broken down to earth wind water fire tiesto classics and intro (if i remember correctly).
any word?

Ok, thanks for clarrifying things up. I asked for SF and got a response. SF will NOT be a 6 hour gig TIC/EOL gig. Looks like LA is the whole shabang. In that case - count me in. Not a fan much of the 2-3 hour tiesto gigs, but when he is given longer sets, you hear more of what you want to hear. The setlists have been posted for the 6 hour special EOL gigs and they are pretty good - way better then the normal 3 hour shows.
It is odd how they sell tiesto saying tiesto live exclusive set and what not. How is it an exclusive set if its 3 hours and just tiesto? Isnt that just a normal dj set?
I recommend going to LA's 4-6 hour show (whatever it is) with the full performance than the bill graham one (2-3 hour and no tiesto performers).
So like, any downside to printing out tickets ?
And a performance by Jes would be nice
bought my tickets for the L.A show today!
Done.
See u guys there

Originally posted by AmericnWldChild In 2005 for TIC, I remember people wanting an 8 hour set like Europe but it got watered down and was terrible here... the lighting booth wasn't the same and the reason why it was 4 hours was because someone mentioned there being a law in Los Angeles stating a performance couldn't exceed 4 hours or maybe it was the whole United States in general. This is why Miami and Los Angeles were strict 4 hour sets but Vegas was an exception since it fell on NYE. I don't understand that law or if its true or not because since then, artists have exceeded the 4 hour limit/law whatever it is....

Originally posted by DjWoody I bought my ticket at Ritmo Latino and the bs services charges weren't as bad as before. The Service fee was only $10. My ticket total was $55 + $10 Service fee. That was $65 total. Groovetickets service fee changes depending on the event. For Tiesto in LA it's usually very high service fee.

But that what makes it different. The "extras." Those give and extra WOW factor. I think the person producing it has alot to do with is as well. I remember seeing commercial on cable networks for "concert."
I do agree that the last TIC had a horrible vocalist singing just be. But seeing Jes live hit the spot. (Especially As The Rush Comes)
Live is the best. Especially with the violins and the drummer and vocals - even if the vocals arnt great live. Armin for example with the guy who plays the keyboard is out of the world. and same goes to violins like with ferry and shit at sensation.
notice how electro music is slowly becoming more live at shows now. Carl Cox said next years ultra will be a live act aswell. Live makes it real - not just studio work.
