CD2 FTW!!!

Posted by RebeL9 on May-16-2007 19:21:

had a listen to this. there are a few highlights such as classic Marmion Schoneberg but overall the majority of the tunes are quite boring and nothing you will remember in the near future.
not anything you want to listen to again and again

did you just pick the worst tune of the whole compilation? or was it a random guess?

you can't be serious, that tune is fuckin' bunkkk

Posted by Mr Moss on May-18-2007 04:43:

hmm the marmion track is a catchy classic trance tune but i'm not sure why he put the original of that in this mix all of a sudden, at least he had a go at remixing the josh wink track, which is similarly old and well known...

are you out of your mind? Schneberg is a classic and re-released multiple times. it's by far the best tune on the whole compilation.

Or.... perhaps it's a classic because it's good and that's why it's lasted the test of time, whereas some of the other tunes won't do. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out, infact even a mentally handicapped person could. On the other hand, you can't, so that says everything that needs to be said for your intelligence (or lack thereof)

so you're intelligent, but why can't you see that it's not a case of hating because they're names, afterall many of us liked these names when they played styles which suited our tastes. For all of the good tunes from older times, there's as many which are bad, and right now in this era there is good new music being made/played which will go down in history as being of a similar ilk to the 'classics' we see today, but there's a lot of stuff better than what marco, armin etc are playing nowadays.

I'm not a fan of any of his mix albums but, for some reason, I can't get enough of Marco V live. I always catch him when he's in the northwest. Amazing stage presence. He really engages crowds.

straight up banging tech

Posted by Prism on May-20-2007 15:18:

both cds were rather boring, definately couldnt believe my ears it aint marco's usual style at some point sounded like a typical Ministry of sound annual CD boring

Posted by smakmagik on May-20-2007 15:37:

....

personally, i loved the previous Combi:Nations
this one is really boring most of the time, with a good tune popping up now and then.

his livesets were and are much more fun than his mix cd's for some reason
