Hah, just noticed I got a shout-out, w00t!
Lovin it, RJT. Well timed transitions kept things tight in this mix. I liked the selections and thought there was just enough variation to keep things interesting without breaking the flow or straying from the theme.
Awesome stuff!
Goddamn I need to party with you mofos someday and hear some LIVE action.
edit: I agree about the Moby track though...but still an overall tight mix. Tres enjoyable!
editedit: Mind you, you're right about it switching up the pace...it takes things to a new level. It works. (y)

is that summer wisconsin fest still happening?
i wanna challenge you to a wisconsin iron chef minimal cheese battle
It's good. I listened to it a couple times at work today and it's very pleasant.
this is a mix with two distinct flavours, can't lie if i said that i liked the first part more than the second, the flow & mixing was perfectly ok with the second but personally the tunes in the first part was better. good shit either how
I listened to this today and this is easily my fav set from you Rob. The mixing is unreal in parts, and I'm not talking about just technical aspects, but just the flow they created was perfect. The tunes worked together really well. I didnt notice any fuckups anywhere.
Last track is ace.
Haven't had time to listen to the whole thing yet but so far it sounds sweet. Been a fan of your mixes since I first heard Centrum. What a lovely piece Satoshi Fumi - Sign was btw, fell in love whit that track instantly

| Originally posted by idoru It requires a mash-up, in my opinion. I've found the perfect track to do it with, but I'm gonna be quiet about it until I get a proper demo recorded (hopefully soon, but I'm not making promises after last time ). |
I's growing on me... ive played it for people, and it's really chillin grooves, good kickin it tunes... hevnt been outside much lately, been a little shitty weather latel, but it's still chillin
wow,
i don't really know what to say about this mix:
it's beautiful. echoing what clovis said - the mixing is unreal. you have extraordinary skill in mixing.. unbelievably tight... your ear as a dj seems to be very acute
i've listened to pretty much everything you've put up here and this is the best. (though glamorama and centrum were great too)
the tracks you have selected are all phenomenal - kobox (ada remix), the compound remix, vertigo, new light, and the cream of the crop - i see a different you (beanfield remix). i recorded a live set from a club night i started last week with a couple of the same tracks. we seem to have a similar taste at least, but what makes your mixes gold for me is the way you make them your own, and that you play other tracks that might be only good for me and make them great. Mat-Zo - Foot And Mouth, for instance - you have really demonstrated the brilliance of the track by the way you use it in the set. The RJT edits I'm sure help a lot with the seamless mixing. nothing to criticize here - just keep it up.
also i've said it before, but your sets are always fresh and the sound you push is always your own, which is admirable.
i too would like to see rjt live at some point, maybe a longer set too. waiting for the next one
edit - forgive me if i am prying - but when you do a promo like this, to what extent do you plan the mix? do you record it a few times before you get the take you want, or splice it together out of a few takes? I know it varies with my mixes - i literally had a notation i developed over weeks for music for jungles which i used to record it live on a later date. into the deep was literally recorded an hour before i left for spring break when i was just bored.
This mix makes me want to be a better DJ.
Sorry fellows, I was away in New York for a few days, thanks for the thoughts guys!

I think my copy of New Light (Diffracted Dub) drifts in the beggining, because no matter how many times I've mixed it I can't get the transition to sound so tight.
I listen to it without cringing at minimalish stuff, well done!
Hey Rob, im hear at clovis' smoking pot and listening to your mix, fuckin awesome dude. i really like it a lot
. Only on the spooky track right now, but the mixing has been solid the whole time, especially the transitions between the first 5 or 6 tracks, they were like perfect, meant for each other. good stuff =)

. solid mix, i like this one better than the one you did called turner and romano. good stuff
This is one of the best mixes i've ever heard off of TA i gotta say.
The first track has this unmistakingly smooth atmosphere, and i think you manage to keep this atmosphere throughout the mix, all the way spicing it with some more melodic stuff, and some more minimal stuff aswell. And from New Light and on i just couldn't help but sit here and nod my head in sync with the music. When Foot & Mouth came on i was sold, that has to be one of the coolest track i have heard these last few months, so sinister!
If you're into smooth transitions, and i am, then this set is very good on the ears, you really know your tracks.
Overall, i must say 10/10
D/L now. Looking forward to this again, Iv passed the last few around some friends who love your stuff.

dled this a bit ago, the first 30 min or so are just orgasmic, especially the opening tracks...a good mix to good lifted on....grats on your funkdvoid gig homie! PEACE
lol just found this downloading now
really good mix!
The way i like it, having various tracks in a set.
Good job
I just had to give this a bump for track 4: Koop feat. Yuji Nagano - I See A Different You (Beanfield Mix / RJT Edit)
The vocals are so mysterious and beautiful, I love it.
First 50 minutes are the best though, after that it loses its mysteriousness and silkysmoothness
PS: While I was googling for this thread (because TA search sucks balls (seriously, why does nothing come up when I search the DJ Promo forum for "outside" ????)) I found this, which I thought was funny.
