Haak's unique irritates me. I have listened to most of Hertz's remixes and tracks around that year but still can't find it.
tyos completes one more id for 2 points and a unique (in keeping with the full disclosure of my post from a few hours ago, it's 59

Answer list up soon.
01 Chab - Lover (Satoshi Tomiie 3D Remix) [Saw Recordings, 2006]
Full ID's: d-miurge, armina Partial ID's: clovis, aabech, haak
Great tune with a bunch of good hooks, made it to the contest because I figured it'll be an easy ID for people who've been into tech house/prog house for a short while.
02 Paperclip People - 4 My Peepz [Planet E, 1998]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's: none
Major classic from the talented hands of Carl Craig, it's in the contest because it should've been a very easy catch for anyone who isn't a genre-whore.
4 My Peepz (Shot) is another of those classic Carl Craig tracks where he uses a simple bassline sample which totally drives the track from start to finish. Incredibly deep, with enough progression to keep things interesting for the full 12 minutes. The stabbed version goes even deeper, and removes most of the high-end percussion until the very end. Top track.
03 Stark - One Moon Circling [A.C.I.D., 1993]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
I didn't expect anyone to manage this ID, only reason I put it in the contest is to expose the participants to this lovely track they probably don't know.
04 Infected Mushroom - Blink [BNE/Yoyo, 2003]
Full ID's: mr.mystery Partial ID's: none
Beautiful epic journey from the period IM were already considered cheese, wish it was longer. Thought it will be a 'medium' difficulty ID.
05 SebastiAn - Smoking Kills (?) [Ed Banger Records, 2005]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Figured the tech-house heads will get it, oh well.
This record is the sound of the future of jumping around like a mentalist, Sebastian and the Ed Banger guys really are the bringing the noise in the truest of screaming electro ways. This is pretty much house music at it's heaviest and as much as I love to get minimal, sometimes there's really nothing better than a pounding sawtooth synth explosion that'll put some hairs on your chest.
06 Genetic - Transmission (Original Version) [Dragonfly Records, 1994]
Full ID's: distant, subtle, d-miurge, Partial ID's: none
Pure point fodder, and a great tune to boot. Really surprised that some of you didn't get it.
07 Ada - I Love Asphalt [Areal Records, 2005]
Full ID's: clovis, tyos Partial ID's: none
Should've been another easy grab for anyone into tech house in the last few years.
Principally based on a strong beat, with a noisy snare drum, and a vicious acid bassline that grows, grows and grows until the long awaited break comes, stands for some seconds, prepares you for the following, and finally lets this damned fat beat come back even stronger with this damned fat bassline and a lot of other headspinning elements which grow, grow, grow to the final point.
08 The Chemical Brothers - My Elastic Eye [Freestyle Dust, 2001]
Full ID's: mr.mystery, d-miurge Partial ID's: none
On one hand i'm giving you a track by the Chems here, easy; on the other i'm giving one that has probably never been featured on MTV and the likes, sadly acknowledging - hard.
My Elastic Eye is a track that the Chems have never attempted; a stagnant low-freq bassline with an old school psychedelia opening. The panicked drums switching to deeply released energetic highs then back again make this track one big musical roller coaster.
09 The Muses Rapt - Spiritual Healing [LSD, 1998]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's: none
Ahh, Juan Verdera and his (literally) mythical Spiritual Healing, a track every trance fan should know. I wag my finger disapprovingly. I was actually gonna place a track I like even more from the same album, but decided to go easy on you. hmpf.
10 Quazar - Dragonfighters [Go Bang! Records, 1991]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Awesome trance track, placed here for educational purposes. hard ID.
11 Hook N Sling - Silver Service [Hussle n Bussle, 2006]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Placed as an easy/medium difficulty grab for breaks and/or tech house heads. Powerful stuff.
12 Autechre - VLetrmx21 [Warp Records, 1995]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Anyone into any ambient should've been able to grab this one.
VLetrmx21 has got to be one of Autechre's best ever... Even though its only a few simple sounds looped over and over, getting louder and more clearer - its just amazing. Must be heard to fully understand.
13 Art Of Trance - Madagascar [Platipus, 1998]
Full ID's: distant, montana, mr.mystery, subtle, d-miurge, qtrew Partial ID's: fuzzy chicken, mart
Point fodder, great acid line, too bad that for many people Madagascar means an entirely different track, a castrated version of the original drained of any acid and turned to something it never was.
14 Tastexperience - Highlander (Ralphie B.'s Massive Mix) [Black Hole Recordings, 2002]
Full ID's: distant, mr.mystery, d-miurge, mart Partial ID's: none
More point fodder, this time for the tranceaddicts of the early 00's. Love it for its evocative lead guitar.
15 Limelight 2 - Aquamentus (Frater Syntheticus Mix) [Fax +49-69/450464, 1992]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Proper trance. Hard ID. Here for educational purposes. Pete Namlook rules.
16 Traci Lords - Control [Radioactive, 1994]
Full ID's: ditant, qtwre Partial ID's: none
More point fodder, who here hasn't heard the Mortal Kombat soundtracks or the thousands of other movies that licensed this track, seriously? anyways, Ben Watkins and the rest of Juno Reactor + an underage porn star = fun.
17 Humate - Love Stimulation (Paul Van Dyk Love-Club-Mix) [Deviant Records, 1998]
Full ID's: distant, noikee, d-miurge, mart, armina Partial ID's: montana, mr.mystery, subtle, haak
Yet more point fodder, featured in the contest for that reason alone. it's not bad though.
18 Electro Blues - Feeling (Original Mix) [House #1, 2003]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Progressive house can be funky! didn't expect anyone to get it really.
19 Galaxy 2 Galaxy - Nation 2 Nation [Underground Resistance, 1991]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's:
Lenny price doing some fantastic stuff on the sax opposite mad mike's chugging acid bassline and strings. Expected some of you to get it, but I can't honestly say i thought it was an easy one.
20 Antiloop - In My Mind (Extended Version) [Fluid Records, 1997]
Full ID's: distant, montana, d-miurge, armina Partial ID's: none
Pure point fodder, good track though. Don't you miss the times when trance cheese used 303's nicely like this?
21 Panoptic - Surface (Original Mix) [Minimal Records UK, 2003]
Full ID's: distant, d-miurge, mart, armina Partial ID's: none
Another easy one, this time for the proghouse heads of years past. Delicious melodies and sounds - nice going mr. burns!
22 Transform - Transformation (Club mix) [Eternity, 1992]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's: montana
A major trance classic, appears on many dozens of compilations, should've been an easy grab.
Transformation is the perfect example of early trance. Hypnotic and deep, the groove here is found within the drive. This one in its orignal form just chugs along with no gimmicks or novelty. Just a driving hypnotic groove and haunted woman chants floating along amongst a solid 909 Beat.
23 Habersham & Numinous - Leaving Tifton (Original Mix) [Blueprint Recordings, 2004]
Full ID's: aabech Partial ID's: none
This track was my favorite progressive house track, i still hold it highly, and my favorite part inside it is the part featured in the sample. i expected people who were around at the time it was released to get it, but didn't consider it an easy ID.
24 Horror Inc. (Akufen) - The Sentinel [Revolver Recordings, 2003]
Full ID's: tyos Partial ID's: none
Some Wonderful tech house from a few years ago, I expected a few to get it. Not a terribly hard one imo.
25 U V O I I (Blaine L. Reininger, Dr. Atmo, I.N.G.O. & Michael Pagenstedt) - Soundtrack Of My Dreams [Fax +49-69/450464, 1994]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
The best ambient track of all times if you ask me. Hard ID, present purely for education. A 20 minute journey with poetry, beautiful sounds, and beautiful melodies. Teach me the song of heavens, The soundtrack of my dreams.
26 Farley "Jackmaster" Funk & Jesse Saunders Featuring Darryl Pandy - Love Can't Turn Around (Houseapella) [London Records, 1986]
Full ID's: montana Partial ID's: none
So gay yet so sinister, I love it. Anyone with any knowledge of the history of house music should've got this without any problem.
27 Amorphous Androgynous - The Emptiness Of Nothingness [Harvest, 2005]
Full ID's: mr.mystery Partial ID's: none
Modern psychedelic rock from the Future Sound Of London under their alter ego, good stuff - medium-hard ID.
28 Chab Feat. JD Davis - Closer To Me [Saw Recordings, 2004]
Full ID's: montana, aabech, d-miurge, haak, armina Partial ID's: mr.mystery, clovis
Another good one from Chab, and just as the former one, i expected the prog house/tech house heads to get it easily.
29 AN-2 - Diva (May Version) [Theomatic, 2006]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Disco-electro-tech-house hiding from most jocks by being set at 108bpm or so, it's a corker! Hard ID.
30 Deepchild - Blackness Of The Sea (Deepchild Mix) [Future Classic, 2005]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
So deep, so sexy, beautiful voice too. Not an easy ID, but don't know whether it's 'medium' or 'hard'.
31 Tim Track - Track It Back (Hertz Mix) [Sway, 2005]
Full ID's: haak Partial ID's: none
Some swedish techno with a nice hook, Shouldn't have been hard for anyone into modern techno. Note: "Untitled" was also accepted as the name for this track because it was available for quite a long time with that name on promos and tracklists before it got a proper release.
32 DJ Dave Davis - Transfiguration [BMG, 1995]
Full ID's: distant, montana, mr.mystery, d-miurge Partial ID's: none
Major trance classic, appears on many dozens of compilations. Point fodder.
33 Sasha - Arkham Asylum [Deconstruction, 1996]
Full ID's: mr.mystery, clovis Partial ID's: none
Expected many of you to get this one, was honestly surprised at the lack of ID's for it. anyways, it's my favorite track by Sasha.
Arkham Asylum itself is more an experience than a piece of dance music; in turn warm and uplifting, to dark and unnerving. There is very little repitition here, as with his other work, and the 13 odd minutes genuine fly by.
34 Santana - Jin-Go-Lo-Ba [CBS, 1969]
Full ID's: mr.mystery Partial ID's: none
One of the most important pieces in the entire history of dance music (not Santana's rendition), an inspiration to many thousands. Each and every one of you should know the influential Jingo, no matter whose rendition of it (most of them were and still are live renditions), it is timeless, and in most versions it shows what trance is all about. Jingo IS trance. Oh, btw, among the recorded renditions Candido's is probably the most influential, I'd use it instead if I had it on the comp.
35 The Overlords - Sundown (Sunfactor 909 - Comamix) [Antler-Subway/ZYX, 1991]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Classic trance track, should've been an easy ID. This track always makes me think of human sacrifice. Mmmmm human sacrifice [/slobbers]. whoops, said too much
Kenneth Baker's remix of this new beat-ish track is his master work; an insanely trippy & majestic 11-minute trance epic which apparently was inspired by Abfahrt's "Alone (It's Me)", a track it easily surpasses anyway. The remix was completed in no less than 3 months, and it shows; this is a work of perfectionism which will never sound dated. "Rise... shine... the sun is fading, it's time to play..."
36 Voodoo Child - Desperate [Trophy Records, 1995]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Say hello to Moby from back when he used to rule on a regular basis. Easy for oldschool ravers, hard for the rest.
37 Plastikman - Are Friends Electrik? [M_nus, 1998]
Full ID's: tyos Partial ID's: none
Ahh, the sweet minimal acid workings of mr. hawtin, glorious. Medium-hard difficulty ID.
38 Parliament Funkadelic - Tear The Roof Off The Sucker (Give Up The Funk) [Casablanca Records, 1976]
Full ID's: mr.mystery, lebezniatnikov, clovis, qtwre, haak, tyos Partial ID's: none
George Clinton puts the Fun in Funk
Didn't expect so many of you to get it, nice going.
39 Ben Klock - Point Blank [BPitch Control, 2006]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: d-miurge
Probably my favorite artist among all of those "minimal" tech house acts. Eexpected the tech house heads to get it.
40 Alaska - Returning Back To Sirius [F Communications, 2003]
Full ID's: distant, d-miurge Partial ID's: none
One of my favorite tracks, one of the most energetic tracks I ever heard, extremely evocative, makes me dance uncontrollably and crank up the volume each time I listen to it, and hell - when hearing it out at a party with the right contexts it makes me do triple summersaults, or think i'm doing triple summersaults, fuck knows. Medium difficulty ID. Laurent Garnier for president of the galaxy.
41 Pan/Tone - Thrill Ho [Mule Electronics, 2005]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Medium difficulty ID, pretty nifty track, admittedly not up to the calibre of most other songs featured in the contest.
42 Second Phase - Mentasm [R & S Records, 1991]
Full ID's: distant, mr.mystery, tyos Partial ID's: none
Uber rave classic, shame on those who didn't ID, shame!
43 Satoshi Fumi - Madness + Thereness [Italic, 2005]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Great tech house with a driving bassline and some lovely shapeless strings. Hard ID.
44 Hardfloor - Who Spends Money On Candygirls & Chocolate Chips [Hardfloor, 2005]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: distant, haak
I originally wanted to put some Hardfloor track from their DaDamnPhreakNoizeClub alias but figured it'd be too hard, instead you have here a track that might have easily came from one of the albums made under that alias, but is in fact from the latest Hardfloor album, 4 out of 5 aliens recommend this. Still a hard ID I guess.
45 Steve Bug - Loverboy (Re-Bugged by Steve Bug) [Poker Flat Recordings, 2004]
Full ID's: d-miurge, tyos Partial ID's: none
Somewhere between techno and tech house a loverboy lies, with some nice pianos and a moving bassline. Medium difficulty ID.
46 Tanaka Hideyuki - Sign Expression [Mo's Ferry Prod., 2005]
Full ID's: tyos Partial ID's: none
Hardest ID in the contest along with UVOII, but such a funkin' groove. Serious kudos to tyos for getting it.
47 Clark - Herr Bar [Warp Records, 2006]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Admirable drum programming, pianos, and various detuned beasts are on the order of day here, Warp-addicts should have gotten it, and that's about it I guess.
48 Edwards & Armani - Sex (Acid Sex Mix) [MG Records, 1988]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's: none
Acid house classic, tough ID.
49 Infected Mushroom - Stretched [BNE, 2004]
Full ID's: mr.mystery Partial ID's: none
My favorite recent track by I.M. chock full of gorgeous vocal segments, guitar riffs befitting of a symphonic rock group's masterful solo, big bad bass lines and enough hooks to make Cpt. Hook jealous to the bone. Easy-medium difficulty ID.
50 Astral Projection - Ambience [Trust In Trance/Phonokol, 1996]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: distant, d-miurge
A different side to Astral Projection, in the contest as a decoy - I was hoping to see some entertaining guesses on what it might be, but all except one (Yahel
) were not too far. Check it out, it's a great track.
51 Oasis - Chamapagne Supernova [Helter Skelter/Epic, 1995]
Full ID's: distant, montana, mr.mystery, lebezniatnikov, d-miurge, clovis, mart, qtwre, haak Partial ID's: noikee, subtle
Good pop/rock, no need to say much here, point fodder which worked better than expected.
52 Filter - Take A Picture (Hybrid Mix) [Reprise Records, 1999]
Full ID's: montana, mr.mystery, lebezniatnikov, d-miurge, clovis, mart Partial ID's: none
The standard hybrid treatment on a track that's quite alright by itself = lovely. Easy for the breaks/prog heads, otherwise challenging.
53 Lil' Louis & The World - I Called You (Why'd U Fall) [Epic, 1989]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's: none
Fucking classic, first the vocal-turned-horn hook, then the saxophone improvisations, and all over that chugging funky groove. Again, anyone with any knowledge of of house music history should've got it without a hitch, oh well.
54 SFX - We Are Controlling Transmission [Trust In Trance/Phonokol, 1993(1998)]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's: none
Astral Projection from 1993, good stuff. medium-hard ID.
55 Moby - Honey [Mute Records Ltd., 1998]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
For contrast with the older (and better) moby featured here, this is him doing 'metal', figured it to be more point fodder.
56 David Morales With Lea-Lorien - How Would U Feel [DMI Records, 2004]
Full ID's: distant, montana, mr.mystery, lebezniatnikov, qtwre, armina, haak Partial ID's: none
Pure point fodder really, though I always liked the singing.
57 Psy-T - Echoes [Tranceaddict Forums, 2005]
Full ID's: none
Partial ID's: distant
All the producers who win ID contests do it!
At least someone figured out it's mine, listed it as Tranceaddict Forums cause that's where it was 'released'.
58 Sweet Light - Mecaniques Remontees [Freak n' Chic, 2004]
Full ID's: d-miurge Partial ID's: none
One of my fav tech house tunes, <3 those bubbly acid lines. Medium-difficulty ID.
59 ADJD (Alexi Delano & Jesper Dahlback) Feat. Robert Manos - Catch Me In The Dark [Harthouse Mannheim, 2007]
Full ID's: tyos Partial ID's: d-miurge
Some more tech house, lovely singing and acid lines, Hard ID.
60 AFX - Phonatacid [Rephlex, 2005]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Genuinely surprised no one got it, it's obviously RDJ's sound, and comes from the best Analord vinyl in the series (2). I thought about it as a medium difficulty ID.
This is just the best listening dance music.
A really lovely record that I will probably play for the rest of my life. Up there with the Chicago classics but in a afx unique style Really emotive vocoders in here, deep, deep basslines, the vocoder at one point is unlike anything ever made.
61 Resistance D - Airwalker [Harthouse, 1994]
Full ID's: mr.mystery Partial ID's: none
Major trance classic, point fodder in theory, oh well.
62 Matt Chester - Icebound [11th Hour Recordings, 2005]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Some techno is good for the soul, deep stuff, very reminiscent of detroit with a slight edge of Anders Ilar. Hard ID.
63 John Coltrane - My Favorite Things [Atlantic Records, 1961]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: distant
Should've been quite easy, the combination of Coltrane's unmistakable technique and sound with the all famous showtune melody.
In 1960 Coltrane formed his own quartet, to further explore modal playing, free of directions and with a growing Indian influence, they transformed My Favorite Things, the cheerful popular song from the Sound Of Music into a hypnotic eastern dervish dance, the recording was a hit and became Coltrane's most requested tune, and a bridge to broad public acceptence.
64 Alter Ego - Nude Restaurant [Harthouse, 1994]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Flugel & Wuttke know their shit, A simple bassline and lots of ethnic drumming form the basis of this 13 minute epic. Easy for anyone into techno, hard for the rest.
65 Brainbug - Nightmare (Sinister Strings Mix) [ZYX Music, 1996]
Full ID's: distant, montana, fuzzy chicken, subtle, d-miurge, mart Partial ID's: subey, mr.mystery, haak
You can't get more point fodder than this.
66 Nathan Fake - The Sky Was Pink (Holden remix) [Border Community, 2004]
Full ID's: distant, noikee, lebezniatnikov, d-miurge, clovis, haak, armina Partial ID's: none
Yet more point fodder, and to think most of you bitched this contest is so hard.
67 HUG - The Happy Monster [K2, 2005]
Full ID's: d-miurge, tyos Partial ID's: none
Good tune from the prolific John Dahlback, gets the floor moving and grooving. easy for the tech house heads, otherwise very hard (with the hundreds of releases from dahlback, would be hell to find this one).
68 Arpanet - The Analyst [Record Makers, 2002]
Full ID's: distant, mr.mystery Partial ID's: none
Arpanet yammering on and on about wireless connectivity
at least they do it with a fitting voice synthesizer to the background of lovely arps.
69 FC Kahuna - Hayling (Ils Remix) [City Rockers, 2002]
Full ID's: distant, mart Partial ID's: montana, noikee, lebezniatnikov, haak, armina
More point fodder, yay.
70 The Future Sound Of London - My Kindgom (Media Mix) [Virgin Records, 1996]
Full ID's: fuzzy chicken Partial ID's: none
The Media Mix is based mostly on Part 5, so I would've accepted that as well. as most of you figured, this one utilizes samples from Rachel's Song. Just beautiful.
71 Jamie Principle - Baby Wants To Ride (FFRR, 1987)
Full ID's: distant, montana, mr.mystery Partial ID's: none
Big house classic, anyone with some knowledge of house history should've got it.
72 Nic Fanciulli - Squirreled [Renaissance, 2005]
Full ID's: clovis Partial ID's: none
New old-school acid house, mint stuff. Easy for the tech house heads.
73 Britney Spears Feat. Madonna - Me Against The Music (Terminalhead Vocal Mix) [Jive, 2003]
Full ID's: montana, mr.mystery Partial ID's: lebezniatnikov, mart, tyos
Best remix to a track ever. Best Breaks tune in the last century. Easy ID.
74 Pierre's Pfantasy Club - Got The Bug [Trax Records, 1987]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's: none
Mmm old school acid house owns me. Uber Easy for anyone into acid house.
75 Astral Projection - Liquid Sun (Cass & Slide's Rework) [Automatic Records, 2000]
Full ID's: subtle, d-miurge Partial ID's: none
A lovely remix from Cass & Slide taking the track in an entirely different direction. Medium difficulty ID.
76 Acid Jesus - Turkey Skank [Klang Elektronik, 1997]
Full ID's: distant Partial ID's: none
More Flugel & Wuttke on this lovely funky number. Hard ID.
77 Bermuda Triangle - Mooger Fooger [Planet Noise, 2001]
Full ID's: distant, noikee, lebezniatnikov, mart, haak Partial ID's: none
Point fodder! I remember practically everyone talking about this tune back when it came out. expected more ID's.
78 Robert Babicz - Look [SUGA, 2005]
Full ID's: none Partial ID's: none
Had to add something from that amazing producer, decided to go easy with a recognisable newer tune rather than put something from his Acid Warrior alias for instance.

Granted, it's a hard ID, among the hardest in the contest, but such a rewarding track. Proper trance.
italicised reviews mostly from discogs.

Cool contest, congrats to the winner and shame on he who stole my unique.

Thanks Psy-T and congrats distant!
Yay.
My next contest will be easier than my last one, I promise.
Probably even easier than this one. So look for that in a couple of days.

), 64, 70, 75, 79. God damn.

Put some Fluke in your contest, thanks.
Fucking coltrane.
Would it be possible to drop the amount of the samples a bit for the next comp? 80 seems a bit excessive...
Well, I was thinking about doing 75 like my last one.
Many cool tunes, I'm definately hunting some down. You gave a faulty hint though, the Dahlbcks are cousins not brothers. I would have easily won the contest if you hadn't thrown me off course like that

Jingo IS trance. Oh, btw, among the recorded renditions Candido's is probably the most influential, |

I'd use it instead if I had it on the comp. |

Contest will be up on Sunday I guess. I'm graduating so I don't have time to cut samples right now.
