That makes no sense for LA Galaxy, unless Newcastle is offering loads of money, which is silly for a short term loan.

Well, that's what I read. I myself don't believe anything that's written until I see a press conference presenting the player...

Not true Fiorentina have a young star Pazzini and Mutu who both have carried the Viola this year. They just need another big name in the attack.

Rumour is Figo might stay with Inter.

Malouda - Quality player, almost destroyed Italy in the final of WC.

They scored goals because Fiorentina had Toni to play longball to him and Toni would flick to towards whoever.
Pazzini and Mutu are completely different strikers than Toni.

Anderson (FC Porto) -> Man Utd CONFIRMED!! Rumoured value of transfer is 25 million euros
Nani (Sporting) -> Man Utd also rumoured by a very reliable source. 20 million euros is the value apparently.

Tremendous attacking force they're going to get there. Anderson will become the next Ronaldinho in 2 or 3 years, Nani is less likely to become the next Cristiano Ronaldo but has a good amount of talent.

Alain Perrin = new Lyon coach (comes from sochaux, this years cup winner)

yep

Manchester United have agreed deals to sign Sporting Lisbon's Nani and Porto starlet Anderson.

The midfield duo are regarded as two of the best young talents in Europe and they have been chased by several of Europe's top clubs.

However, United have stolen a march on their rivals by luring the pair to Old Trafford.

United chief executive David Gill and assistant manager Carlos Queiroz flew to Lisbon on Wednesday to hold talks with Sporting regarding Portuguese international Nani and they have quickly agreed a move for the exciting winger.

Nani is highly-rated in Portugal and has been likened to current United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tottenham have been credited with an interest in Nani, but United have won the race for his signature.

Brazilian ace Anderson has been widely dubbed 'the new Ronaldinho'.

Anderson has enjoyed a successful season with Porto, helping them win the Portuguese championship.

The 19-year-old has attracted the interest of a host of clubs including Chelsea and Barcelona, but United have agreed an undisclosed fee with Porto for the exciting midfielder.

not that anybody cares since we're only a "little" club, but has anybody heard anything more about Everton signing Joey Barton and David Nugent?

huge signings there but im going to wait until mid way through the season before i start jumping for joy given that brazilian players can find it difficult to settle into the premiership given the contrasting style in play to that of brazil and portugal.

Nani might be loaned out for this season given that scholes showed that he still has something in his tank to offer last season.

Still waiting for that big name striker that we are supposed to sign this year. Probably the most important position for us to fill now that we got Hargreaves.

The coming season has the potential to be the most exiting yet. United , liverpool and chelsea are all doing massive overhauls along with Tottenham as well.

Arsenal are so screwed

Those two would definately give you a bit of a push out of the little league category. Nugent is a great buy and keeping Barton in check should make Everton shoo - ins for UEFA cup football.

Anderson is very strong physically, altho he likes to hold onto the ball a lot (being brilliant at it!). He might take a little while to adapt but I think he's more likely to do so than most brazilian players.

I've heard of this loan back to Sporting being a possibility, but he's not exactly a direct competitor for Scholes, Nani is more of a winger than a playmaker, altho he can do both. Anderson is the opposite, he's more of a playmaker than a winger.

Both Berbatov and Huntelaar are players I like a lot. After these massive signings today, that sort of striker is the only player lacking in Man Utd for it to become an attacking dream-team.

Don't underestimate squad stability.

Didn't Fergie plan only 3 transfers ?

Anyway i also hope they sign another striker. Saha is to much injured

you'v probably seen them play on a regular basis so thats good to hear but then again , veron i believe had the same style of play and that didnt work out to well for us

then maybe fergie wants to give giggs one more season before nani takes his place ... if nani is indeed going to be loaned out , fergie should loan him to an english club to get him adapted to the premiership

berbatov is now definitely out of the question. Besides the fact that he is on the verge of signing a new contract, united are supposed to have already spent more than 40 million on hargreaves along with nani and anderson and berbatov would cost atleast another 25 million.

Would love to see huntelaar come in , dutch players do very well in the premiership and he has a fantastic goal scoring record and is young as well

Alfonso Alves is another striker we have been linked with. Never seen him play but he was top scorer in the dutch league this season averaging more than a goal a game (34 goals in 31 games.)

I was always of the belief that Arsenal would be the best team in England in the next couple of years given the fantastic young talent they had at their disposal. But the policy of signing young players might now backfire on Wenger given that the team seem to be lacking a lot of experience and with Henry again expected to leave , they might struggle to reach the champions league this season.

They have also not signed anyone or even been linked with a big player for that matter and Wenger is expected to leave next season so its not looking good for them at all.

Huntelaar stays at Ajax for at least another year.

Alves is a fantastic player, he can do a lot with the ball. He has a great shot too. But last thing i heard is that he also have a 20 million saleprice. But if he plays like this he is worth it. Dunga selected him for the next Brasilian games. 1 game is friendly against England so maybe he will play that game.

Yeah from what i've heard that's a gimme. Parker linking up with Curbs again. Big Sam is lining up Joey Barton as a replacement.

Henry even being mentioned with the other two is just hilarious...

Sure, he wasn't on tap this season, but he's still loads better than Makaay and Forlan...

with that being said, I pray they don't get Henry... then again, it'd be funny to see Arsenal fall that much deeper into SHIT!

Posted by Elior on Jun-01-2007 09:34:

Man U next move - Nicolas Anelka. 8m pounds, sounds interesting, but it still a rumor.

Lol, what a load of crap, they have one of the most talented sides in europe. It's only a matter of time before they start booking results again.

West Ham United have agreed an undisclosed fee with Newcastle United for Scott Parker.

Middlesbrough are set to agree a deal with Arsenal for Jeremie Aliadiere.

Manchester United chief executive David Gill has confirmed the club have done the majority of their summer spending in the past 24 hours.
