Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm definitely going to pick up The Doors debut, Beach Boys - Pet Shop, Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde, and some Cream/Clapton. It takes me awhile to buy cds though...I only buy probably 10 cds a year and 6 of them are usually the "must haves in trance/prog/house that year". Granted that is probably more than most people these days. I despise buying mp3s. I'll probably be buying these things for the rest of my life, I love to keep all my cds just because it reminds me of the times I bought them.

I was a kid during the 80's and I am very familiar with the music with 2 older brothers that were in high school at the time. I pretty much own and know all the music I like from that time period.
